The Future of EIE

Now then, today it's been one month since we launched the Eve is Easy website. Needless to say, things did not go completely according to plan, to say the least. To be frank, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
While the entire ordeal with Abaddon21 did not stop us completely, it did leave us without someone who knew about running a business, which was supposed to be his responisbility (although it turned out he did not really have a clue about it). Furthermore, we had a lot of technical problems in relation to the domain switch, and our site is currently far from what we wanted it to be. To make matters worse, we were never able to actually get an official permission from CCP to provide the service that we do, although they never explicitly stated that it is not alowed either, only that we couldnt advertise it on their forums. This left us in a somewhat awkward position, not being able to commit to the project in the way that we wanted. With the Alliance Tournament coming up as well as various real-life commitments, we also suddenly found ourselves hardpressed for time to produce new content and interact with our community.

When we took all of these factors into consideration, it became clear to us that we could not go on like this.

So, we have decided to put the project on hold for now. What this means is that we have cancelled all of our current subscribers. You will not be charged any monthly subscription fee from us again. Furthermore, we have refunded all of our lifetime members since one month's worth of videos obviously does not justify the cost (they have been fully refunded minus 1 month's regular membership).

Now this does not mean that EIE is closed completely. Although we wont charge you anymore, you will continue to have access to the website and all the content that is currently on it. We also have a few more videos that we are going to release and we are planning on recording all of our Alliance Tournament matches and releasing the footage for you guys at a later point.

If you have been dissatisfied with your membership of EIE so far, we encourage you to ask for a refund (just reply to this email with "refund"). If not, then we very much apreciate your support, since we do have expenses to cover.

Running this project has been a blast, although we are sorry that we did not quite manage to achieve our goals with it. Nonetheless, it has been quite the experience for us and we have learned alot. It is possible that we are going to pick it up again at a later point in time, but we will make no promises. One thing is for certain; we're not going to make the same mistakes again. If we do decide to continue the project later on, we're going to make sure that all practical and technical problems are solved before we even start.

We'd like to thank all you guys for your patience during these last couple of weeks, we have perhaps not been communicating as well as we should have. The amount of support you guys have been offering has been astonishing and for that we are grateful. We sincerely hope that you have been learning from and enjoying our site.

Malice Lottery

Since the lifetime membership option no longer exists, all former lifetime members have been entered into the Malice lottery (instead of the vangel lottery). The drawing for the Malice lottery will happen on thursday the 17th of May, and the winner will be contaced through email and also made official in the ingame EIE channel. We reserve the right to do a re-drawing if we get no response from the winner within 3 days.
