Hellow,
I'm currently saving up for an Arbitrator. I almost never seen them, and nobody seems to discuss them on the forums. So, my logical explanation would be that it's a crappy ship. Would you advice against it? Now I don't care if taking an arbitrator means I won't be the most ub3r1337-dude in the galaxy, or that I have a 0.2% better chance at winnning a fight in another ship. But it would be kinda dissappointing if it was utterly useless.
Now, personally I want to take an Arbitrator because:
-It's Amarr.
-It has a LOT of drone space. #2 of all the cruisers. Drones are fun. Don't want to take Gallente. Got loads of Amarr skills.
-It looks sweet.
So what do you say?

I have one.... They are fun...for taking on Rats in .5 and up... 0.4 and below could get a little hairy...
Drones...yeah get it to Drones 5 with Drone Interfacing at 3 and you can launch 10 Mediums.....(Amarr Cruiser 2)...
I run two named lasers and a Compact Limos Launcher (saves money/minerals on heavies)...
Your drones pretty much eat up any frig. spawn....
Its a good ship ...just missing something...Most Amarr only pilots go straight to Omen or Maller....

ok im guessing u useing it for npcing
my cap skills suck so i used -
energised membranes (specific for npc damage type),couple of 800mm plates,arrmor repairer(named), SMALL lasers with xray lens. no missile launcher ...( npc hunting why spend money on ammo ?) oh and a mwd
i have had no probs with it so far, 110k rats get chewed up real fast by the drones
drones mainly med drones if u use all heavy drones u dont get the secoundary bonus as theres no drone space for the +1 drone per lvl)
pvp idea -
hi slots - nosferatus
med slots - warscramber, cap recharger, mwd
as much tank as possible
use drones to kill the target
i think it would make a good ninja miner to has a lot of low slots
hope this gives some ideas for your setup m8
but ... the fun i had with arb was working out my own setups for it

Arbi Kicks ass, my arbi setup could do the mordus mission :D
Hi: 2x Modulated heavy pulse lasers, Arbalest Heavy Launcher
Med: 2x Med Cap Battery II, 10mn AB II
Lo: 2x Small Armor Rep II, Thermal Hardener, Kinetic Hardener, Heatsink II
DroneBay: loads of hammerheads
It worked like a charm for me  A bit slow, but with all those drones, you can do some serious killing to the frigates, and the mod pulse's do a lot of damage, on the order of 120-150per shot

I used an arb back in the day for lvl 3 kill missions. Cruisers and lvl 3 missions are the best PvE fun you can have in the game imo.
From memory I think I used the following:
2x lasers, 1x heavy launcher
100mn AB, cap recharger, med shield booster
5x power diags.
you could leave the shield booster and guns going a long time. Cruz' setup looks much better though, my setup is kinda pre-armour tanking - try fitting a similar setup to his with a bit more speed.

The Arbitrator is a very useful cruiser, but it is more skill intensive than the other Amarr ships, as you need good drone and missile skills to use it effectively.
It's always been my favourite Amarrian cruiser for PvP.

Yes, to me it seemed a very versatile ship... Launcher, Lasers and drones. Means a lot to play with means it won't bore you very quickly. Also means you need lots of different skills.. Well... Whatever  . I can live with that.

i used it to pvp in, and nearly took out on 4 ceptors,, med dronze 2*mwd, 2*medium nos, scrambler, and stuff to keep the cap alive,
