Originally by: Valentine Keen If I recall correctly, implementing the effects of negative standings, regarding docking and npc sentry guns has been something CCP have said they'd do for a long time, but don't seem to have gotten round to implementing.

It'd make things a lot more realistic if they did but they'd probably have to reset NPC standings if they did it.

Warping to a POS will be fun if the owning corp. has set your standings to -10 and you can't tell.

Quote: Thanks. And no. I did not say that PvPers are socially inept. Its the Player vs ... helpless victim crew that are socially inept. The type that camp gates in low sec and destroy all comers just because they can.
The reason people have to gank in low-sec space is down to people like me who didn't have the intelligence and foresight to recognise that our demands would inevitably ruin this part of the game.
People tried to tell me but I was a n00b carebear and ignored them

Originally by: Discorporation Dedicated nub corps can do a LOT of damage to established alliances, Book.
Going Limp from wayyy back (corporation made for killing TTI, as I remember) only had two, three members but tore right through Taggart.
Didn't most of their success come from taking advantage of non-agression from modules such as neutralizers and warp-jammers by getting non-war allies to use them on TTI?

At some point, they used those themselves to bait people. I recall a war declaration, though .
Must be my dodgy memory - getting old isn't fun.

An Empire 0.0 space with no sentry guns and a security hit for acts of agression is, for all intents and purposes, the exact same thing as a non-Empire 0.0 system.
Why?
Loss of sec rating is meaningless. It means nothing, nada, zip, zipola., www.nothing.com.
It will just bring the chokepoint one system closer to you.

Originally by: Book It makes no sense that you would collect bounties via concord, recieve security raises via concord, but not recieve security hits for doing the exact same things those organizations frown upon.
It's non-Empire Space and therefore lawless - that is why there is no security hit.
Collecting of bounties is a simple game mechanic. There is no "explaining" of how CONCORD know to award you a bounty/SR raise so it serves no purpose to use it as a point of argument.

Tired of alliance members hiding in Empire? Jumping from HED to Keberz at the first sign of resistance?
Gee, what about this feature in Shiva where one war let's you attack a whole alliance.
Gee.

Running away is not combat. Don't confuse the 2.
What if you're running away from one fight to go to another?

Originally by: Lifewire Joshua, the last time i saw you was in Yulai - in a Indy full of miner IIs. Why do you talk so much about pvp - you know nothing about it. You might have survived our suicidal attack with 2 caracals on your miner II loaded indy - but you are NOT A PVP-player...go to other topics where they discuss how to rent factorys or how to farm NPCs best.
I think you may have the incorrect Joshua Calvert? I don't even own any miner II's and neither have I been attacked by 2 Caracals while in Yulai
Avon, named WCS are worthless which is why they're dropping like dual 250mm's
Edit: Aslo, how long ago are we talking here? Your sec. status is -9.6 so Yulai is a bit far for you to travel.
Methinks Lifewire has been telling fibs. Tsk tsk.

So, what you're saying, Lifewire, is that you DEMAND a change to suit your requirements to the detriment of the majority?
Hmmm...what's the one word we normally use to describe that...............
