A friend of mine who is a avid EVE online player is heading off to India for 2 months as a 'travel around the world" trip, with access to only basic internet (web browsing, no games). While gone, he entrusted his account to me to continue skill training and use as an alt. (he has a year's subscription)
Now, probably not EVERYONE in eve has a trusted real life friend to give their accounts to continue growing. So, i propose a solution: allow skill training in our account management page in EVEonline.com.
This would probably solve a few potential problems, and i do not see any potential negative effects (of course you still need a active subscription to train, etc, etc) of implementing this.
thoughts?

There was talk of adding in the ability to do this via the COSMOS updates that are coming... The funny thing about this sentence is that by the time you've finished reading it, it's too late for you to realise it doesn't say anything. |

Edited by: Zartanic on 08/09/2009 11:06:37 I think that's one of the possible features in the new Cosmos on-line interface thingy.
EDIT: that 5 minute rule got me posting the same damn thing:)

Enjoy your bans.
Account sharing is against the EULA.
-20 cool points for also posting about it on the forums.

Just in case you missed it on the 1st read, section 2 A of the EULA clearly states:
You may not share your Account with anyone, or allow anyone other than you personally (or your minor child, if you have registered an Account on behalf of your minor child) to access or use your Account. Joint or shared ownership or use of an Account by more than one user is prohibited.
Aswell as section 2 B:
You may not disclose your Password to anyone or allow anyone to use your Password to access the System or play EVE.
I can only encourage you two NOT to break the rules under which you play.

I'm sorry, but that just BEGS the question : Does getting hacked count as "disclosing your password"

No, it raises the question. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
