Ok so since i can no longer afk mine, if i have to fly something id rather it be my old iteron V. What my goal is, is to be able to buy items at jita and fly out and sell them at a 5-10% profit. Am i wrong to expect this to be possible? Also i would like to stick to mining ships/equipment as this is what i know
1. What are good items to start on? money isnt an issue i have about 250 mil isk. so i guess it could be an issue but i got something to start out on.
2. is buying say a covertor in jita for 31 mil and selling it 7 jumps awaya in a busy system for 32.5 mil ever gonna work?
3. should i stick to smaller stuff rigs, cargo expanders, mining upgrades, survey scanners, or do i have to go big with retrivers, covetors, hulks, macks? or what about ospreys, mining drones, gang links?
Does my idea of buying X for Y ammount and then selling X for Y+5-10% does this work? please help. |

I took an alt with 2 mill and no trading skills and she hasnt left jita and is now worth close to 75 mill in less than a week. 31-32.5mill is **** profit specially once you take in transporting time there and back. you can flip mods in station for much higher profit than that. if your doing region to region/hub to hub look for small stuff you can buy alot of and sell quickly that has high profit. Use the tools availble, like eve central to check prices or just make a price checker alt put one in jita one in ur other hub so you can always compare prices. I wont tell you what to trade, and really no one will because that is directly how they make money, but i'll say use your head, what is in demand, if you have any combat/pvp experience you shoudl know what is expendable, what gets blown up and what gets used. Also meta game events have to get taken into account, if we know an assload of hulks are getting wasted daily due to hulkageddon maybe mining goods will start to fluctuate in prices in areas. Trading is a very easy way to make money if you do alittle thinking, and yes some times you have to use maths. No one is gonna give you a cookie and say here trade this and make billions. Trading is a mental game. |

It would work, but with extremely small margins. So small that you should ask yourself if it's even worth it. If you want to put that Itty to good use you might be better off accepting courier contracts. |

Yes ofcourse it will work but it will take patience and research. Depending on your starting capital it might be worth your while.
However, flying around in an Itty filled with stuff is a gank waiting to happen. Infact, you just made yourself a target. If you want to fly stuff around do it in low volume high value stuff like rigs or something and not in a flipping itty 5!
Keywords: patience, capital, marketresearch.
If you are in for 70m a week ur doing it wrong. better off doing courier missions. |

I have been moving stuff 3-4 jumps from jita and selling for 20-50% above Jita price, using an alt with only an Itty 3.
There are plenty of items, Jita borders 2 regions within 1-2 jumps or so.
Even within the forge, just take a peek at what is not well supplied outside Jita, and move it out and seed the local stations. |

you don't need to buy in jita to make some profitable hauling. At the contrary, you could buy somewhere else and sell in jita ;)
just check main hubs or even better stations and pockets few jumps away from the main hubs. As said any industrial, especially an itty 5, undocking from jita (or any other main hub) is a killmail waiting to be written. Then, a 5-10% profit on the single item doesn't mean a lot. It depends on volumes mostly, but I'd say in general 5% is not worth the effort. |
