I still don't understand how CCP can say what's in the wreck (loot) belongs to the owner and salvage (which as far as I'm concerned is also in the wreck) is fair game for anybody even though the mission isn't theirs. The owner of the mission has done the grind to get the standings to get the mission. The owner has made the investment in skills and training to fly the ship for that level of mission. The owner has made the investment for the ship and fittings to do the mission. Yet anybody can spend a week to train a character to fly a frig and fit a salvager and go salvaging, yep that seems balanced and fair. The salvage can be a considerable income, especially in level 4 missions.
I propose that there be a skill which allows the owner to hack and disable a gate. There would be a 2 minute window for the owner and his gang to get in before the gate shuts down. Once the mission is complete then the gate disappears and the wrecks can be scanned down as per usual, the way I see it once you complete a mission then the wrecks are abandoned. Hacking gates would also prevent the following greifing from happening:

Imperative: Salvage is NOT YOURS link: Linkage
Hacking gates would prevent carebear tears on the forum. So NO.
PS: Read the other 53567456332 threads on the topic.

Better yet, a module to hack a gate so a different ship size can go through or enter missions. Now that's something we can all support ---

Another mission runner who can't think for himself.....
There is a SO easy solution if you don't want any ninja's. Simply move from Motsu/Irjunen/<other mission hub>!
You will never see another ninja. However, if you like the other mindless sheep continue to run missions for the apparently best (they really aren't) agents, you'll have to accept them.
CCP has categorically stated that wrecks are NOT intended to boost mission runners profit which they already consider high enough!
Oh, and why create yet another thread? Why not post in some of the 32532324 other threads about this?

I said I don't agree with it and had my little ***** session. I've accepted that it's going to happen. My bigger concern is that people are exploiting game mechanics to deliberatly overwhelm the mission runner in order to get their stuff. If CCP wanted you to have to deal with the entire room all in 1 go then they would have written the mission that way.
As far as posting in some of the 32532324 other threads, I'm not going to read all of them to see if someone else was dealing with griefers.

No they're not. Game mechanics make it possible to probe mission runners down and mess with them.
Quote: If CCP wanted you to have to deal with the entire room all in 1 go then they would have written the mission that way.
If they wanted you to only deal with a few at a time, they would make it so that only the last ship killed triggered a reinforcement wave. But as it is, there are specific triggers, so it is fully possible for the mission to spawn all reinforcement waves.

Why are you posting, then?

Read up on the definition of "exploit". People salvaging wrecks are using intended game mechanics. The are not "exploiting".

What?

They are not griefing you. The salvage is NOT YOURS. It's a bonus if you can get but in no way it was ever intended to be part of your mission reward / loot.
As for you not reading threads: EVERYTHING on this topic has been said and discussed already. You are not special and do not deserve your own thread (unfortunatelly, noone can really stop you). All you'll get with this thread are flames.

you're right, the loot should be free also... like it belongs to the NPC, not you actually. Hence, the loot is implemented fine, the salvage is not. I think it should get fixed soon.

Perhaps you should read the whole post before giving us your enlightened opinion, when I was talking about the exploit it was about triggering all the spawns then leaving, it had nothing to do with salvage.
