The following is based on the assumption that RMTers and account hijackers often use throw-away Trial accounts.
Impose several isk transfer limits on trial accounts. * Individual transfers max (a few million) * Daily transfer max (a few million more) * After a total isk threshold is reached further limit daily transactions.
Let's say the limits are 5, 10, 50 and 3 respectively. Then a trial player could not send or receive more than 5m isk per individual transfer. Could not send/receive more than 10m isk per day total. And after a total of 50m have been send/received would be limited to 3m isk per day util the end of the trial period. A polite message informs the new player about this anti-abuse measure first when the account gets created and then when any thresholds have been reached.
The numbers above are purely meant as an example. Final numbers would be based on analysis of what new players typically make during those 2 weeks.
I assume CCP already has internal thresholds that get triggered to find suspicious activities.
With reasonable limits this should rarely affect real new players, but raise the cost of business for account hijackers. --- Save the forum: Think before you post. ISK BUYER = LOSER EVE TV- Bring it back! Laptop, NVidia7900GS, Ubuntu 8.04, WINE |

Cool (you can see that I never had a trial acccount :-) ).
No isk sending at *all*? But they can send isk via buying and it would be very easy to "buy" a 1 trit contract for 500m.
What about receiving isk? No limit on that - right?
Here's a scenario that seems not unlikely to me: Evil bastard hijacks your account and monetizes all your assets. Sends all isk to a few trial accounts. Trial accounts buy/trade 1 trit or cheap frig for 100m a piece. Trial accounts get deleted to obscure money trail.
Rinse repeat. --- Save the forum: Think before you post. ISK BUYER = LOSER EVE TV- Bring it back! Laptop, NVidia7900GS, Ubuntu 8.04, WINE |

trial accounts can recieve isk but cannot send isk
trial accounts cannot create or accept contracts
isk that is sold for real money is sent to the purchaser using paid accounts not trials.
there is no limit to how much isk a trial can recieve, however i believe ccp do have monitoring measures, that alert them if a trial/noob accounts suddenly get a huge wallet balance increase. SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

Trades?
Originally by: David Grogan isk that is sold for real money is sent to the purchaser using paid accounts not trials.
Where did you get that information?

If trades are possible the money can still flow out.

I certainly would hope so - way too obvious not to do. :-)

You can easy transfer money from a trail, go to a system with little ppl in and do it right after DT, Put one trit on market for as many billions you like and then put up a sellorder 0.1 isk under marketprice just make sure you have the cheapest trit in that region and then buy the super expensive trit with the scammer trail account and all money will go to the seller of the cheapest trit. So if you put the very expensive trit up on the market with another trail account it would look like the guy that got all the money just got lucky, nothing that would tie him to a scam.

Trades? Trades are possible but trading must be done in the same station and preventing trials from trades would make them completely useless and thus stop new players joining new eden

Where did you get that information? again let me re-iterate this again "it is NOT possible to send isk or create or accept a contract using a trial account" thus confirming that full paided accounts must be used in order to send isk either direct send isk or via contract such as selling 1 trit for 1 bil isk, etc.

If trades are possible the money can still flow out. true but u cannot block trades to trials how else would they be able to buy skillbooks or ships mods & ammo?

Between paying for accounts with stolen credit card info, paying for plexes with stolen/macroed ISK and just plain using hijacked accounts RMTers have very little use for trial accounts.
