So, a guy is in corporate stasis period for 24 hours. Why is this? As a CEO, if a member starts misbehaving and I want him gone, and I want him gone now. I don't want to wait 24 hours to kick him. What's this deal about?
Secondly, the abused in-game mechanic that prohibits you from kicking someone who currently is in space needs to be solved too. As it's being abused, and should be a borderline exploit.

Because he might have assets in a corp owned station or pos and should have a chance to remove them?

The primary reason is to avoid situation involving wars and the like.
Due to overview bugs you could in theory kick someone out of your corp and it not change on the opponents screen before he fires bringing the wrath of Concord in hi sec, and gate guns in low sec. Thus the cool off period.
If he has no roles he couldn't get anything out of any hangars anyway....

if he refuses to dock so you can kick him, petition it and a GM will sort it. Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

because it is stated in the design documents of eve, that every action you are doing, be it changing ships, scanning for stuff, posting forum replys or kicking members must be acompanied by an artifical delay timer.

Oh, don't forget that obligatory "smacktalk" that I guess never gets old when joining a fleet. I mean, everyone just HAS to rag on each other when you join fleet comms I guess.

Had this issue once, was a simple fix, took an alt and scanned him down via corp member locations, popped the ship and smartbombed the pod. And then he was in a station ready to be kicked. This was not only a fix for the problem, but also quite satisfying as well.

And the other side of that coin. Cause he is still in your corp you can.... Destroy every ship he trys to leave station with or is in space with even in high sec and concord will not get involved. And if you pod him he will no longer be in space.
