Been playing EVE for quiet some time now and getting a bit bored due to the status quo that has
happened in 0.0 with almost nothing happening. So i have started to look for other mmo's which offers
free trials, good trials. A few years back i tested the trial of EQ-II and was horrified by the fact
that the trial SUCKED due to it being level-locked at 6. Since i am a fairly good player, i reached level 6
in about 1 hour that the trial was over.... How big of an idiot releases a trial with lvl-6 cap if the max
level is far higher?. If would be if CCP released trial of EVE but you never could leave your starting system.
So to the point. I need trials to GOOD mmo¦s, trials that i don't max out after 1 day of playing, trials
where i can actually EXPERIENCE the game. I played Shaiya, which sucked, but it was free.
Games i've played and don't need trial for: WoW, AoC.
Any suggestions?

I think you have a problem with your enter key.
As for MMO's, wait for Black Prophecy, that definitely looks very interesting.

I don't have any buddy keys to hand easily right now, but there are some free trials available for many games. Most have *some* restrictions, the better ones keep them relatively painless but it's not always easy. I can understand preventing trials from talking in global channels, but preventing them from starting teams or talking to other players directly is the biggest pain in the arse and turns an MMO into an O. Anyway, trials I've found:
City of Heroes
I'm still subbed to CoH/V and find you'll love it for a few months, then take a few months break, then return. Gameplay and teamplay are exceptional, so is the role playing element, and they're always adding to it. Very polished. Can't remember restrictions on trial acc, but they're minor.
Pirates of the Burning Sea
Can't level passed 12, trial prevents much of any team play. I lasted 7 of the 14 days before getting bored. Character development is interesting but unlike Eve (and most other online RPGs), even quarter of the way thru a characters career there's little RP, no customisation, etc. And it's Sony.
Vanguard - Saga of Heroes
Never played it, tho it looks cool. Heard mixed things ranging from "incredible" to "dreary". Sony too.
Everquest II
Apparently very addictive, never tried it. Seems like a good deal, but it does mean dealing with Sony.
Warhammer Online
I tried this....the character classes are brilliant, the quests are fun and the PvP is fast, exciting and rewarding (very clever system). Sadly, too few players and game lacks polish (that's being polite). I've heard it's changed now, but don't have it in me now to try it again.
Lord of the Rings
Never played, but only ever heard good things about it. I believe you can only be a human, elf, dwarf or hobbit tho...so no dual wield urukai hobbit killing action 
D&D Online
I was really tempted to try this out, as I loved NWN(2) but it's quite different. For one thing I don't think characters can progress beyond lvl 16 and after playing NWN2 warlock, I don't think I want to ever try a different class again 
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Not out till Q4 (around late-Nov) but it's BioWare. I don't think anything else needs to be said here. I'll be pre-ordering it soon 
Apart from those, there's plenty of SP games that can keep you occupied. Soon TBR is Alpha Protocol and not long after, Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare!). Mass Effect 2 (guess who!? ) not long after. Already out, games to try...X3: Terran Conflict and I'm currently enjoying Dead Space (horror shooter a la RE4).

They don't really announce it that much, but Planetside always has a 14 day free trial. Since you played EQ2, I assume you already have a Station account and can just click on the Planetside link to start it.

There is Monster-play. And there you do get dual-wield uruk-hai hobbit killing action.
Well, technically it's either Orc with dualwielding or Uruk-hai without dual-wielding, but whatever.
Never liked Lotro though.

Where'd you read that from? I thought SW:TOR wasn't going to be out until 2010, if not longer than that.

They are closed a lot of the servers so the servers are very populated (atleast the one on EU that i played on). ALSO they have a free trial now so it worth checking out if you havent played it!

maybe check out aion. its coming out soon. it got cryengine 1. the grind seems not too bad either. it has pvpve in the abyss which should keep things interesting and you can enter hostile space via random wormholes. then you can ofc fly plus obama plays it too:

true one could also say *activates flamesuit mark 3* this is a tad bit ghey. i dont have to twist my head much for it. 
i must say the assasin class from aion actually appeals to me alittle bit. its like the pilgrim only with blasters(read: scissors).
only thing i dont like with it is you dont get any loot?
have i gotten that even right? that takes the fun out of it big time should it be true. what for fight then. castles in the sky in the end getting balanced out by some third party ai?
first i was meh. now i am actually undecided. hmmm.

When I got bored of Eve I went and did Vanguard - its the best fantasy MMO I've tried (of several) esp since they started up their 'trial island'...
