CCP,
Please do not restrict the SIZE of neut/nos on the Blood Raider ships. Flexibility is important when it comes to jamming things onto ships, and every last bit of bonus we can eek out of our ships is important.
I really like the changes, however I am saddened that you took 2 slots off the Ashimmu especially. The web strength is PERFECT (thank you for listening!) and I am VERY happy with the extra sensor strength.
But....
You took both a tanking lowslot and a utility highslot.
If I had to pick between a low and a high for the Ashimmu, I would pick the utility high. Please let it retain 7 highslots -- it's a really nice cruiser. Think Omen Navy Issue upside down (seriously, that ship has a ridiculous amount of slots, I think the Shimmu can keep one extra high).
But yeah I'm really gonna nitpick at the SIZE of neutralizer/nosferatu. Just let it be 15% to neut/nos amount. There's no chance that we can fit heavy lasers and neuts on this fit.
A ship this cap intensive cannot possibly rely on a respectable active tank. It needs to buffer, so you need to allow it to use small neutralizers to give it some leeway.
Thanks. :)

I totally sped through and read about the Blood Raider ships because those are important to me right now as a hobby and I just read through the rest of the ships.
Holy ****. This stuff is the way pirate ships should be.
Are the LP costs really going to remain the same? These are now on par with HACs and that really says something.
I just got a Vigilant BPC the other day and was so happy \o/ Now I'm even happier!
Friggin awesome work :D

To all of you whining about overpowered webs and holy **** turrets and what not:
THESE ARE PIRATE SHIPS. MODIFIED PIRATE SHIPS.
They are going to be lethally awesome, they are going to cost a TON of money to buy, fit and lose and they are going to once again reclaim their place in the spotlight so whenever one warps in on you the only thing you can think of is "oh ****."
YES.

all other frigs (10) and cruiser (15) have the same amount of slots, so why not the battleships ?
the rattlesnake has a large drone bay and drone damage bonus -1 slot
the bhaal gets a 100% damage bonus so -1 slot
But the Ashimmu lost two slots :(

This.
While faction ships are decidedly becoming overpowered with this patch, I believe that the whole concept of drone bandwidth is being rewritten with a 10 slot tank and 125m3 bandwidth.
If you give a tech 1 cruiser this ability, surely a COMMAND SHIP as well as a BATTLECRUISER should be able to use this ability.

Yeah, the Navy Vexor is kinda gimped with only 100m3 bay/band.
Since CCP is having a TON of fun with these ships, I think the Navy Vexor should have 150m3 bandwidth and 15 controlled drones with no damage bonuses to anything except standard gun damage bonus.
15 unbonused medium drones + 5 turrets = neat.

Any news on CCP changing the Blood bonus from class sized neut/nos to cover all neut/nos?
It takes away from the sandbox experience and forces us to fit our ships a certain way.
Basically CCP is telling us our highslots HAVE TO BE heavy guns to get a gun bonus AND medium neuts to get a neut bonus.
I want to be able to pick my neuts.

Just got on to test out the new Ashimmu.
With 4 Medium Neutralizers in the highs:
Caps out self in about 60 seconds with all level 5 skills, has to run on cap booster 800s to continue 4 neuts.
With a 12s cycle time, this makes keeping ships capped out difficult. With 4 neuts you get an effective 3s cycle time, but with small neuts you would get an effective 1.5s cycle time (half).
A bonused neut throws out 240-some cap killing, so you still take down about 1000 cap per volley from targets. But your cap is dying too.
With only 5 lowlots, it makes an active tank a viable option, but not with this kind of cap usage. So you're going to be stuck with plating it up. But you can't fit a respectable plate tank to a 400 million isk cruiser without at LEAST 25k armor, and the only way you'll get that is with 2 1600s. So that leaves you with little grid to fit any lasers at all (which in my opinion would be okay, it's a neut boat after all not a dps boat) but then you don't get some of the synergy from using all three awesome bonuses.
SO
What does that leave me with?
Let us use small neuts on the Ashimmu. Let us use small and medium neuts on the Bhaalgorn. Why should these ships be the only ships restricted on what tech they can use?

That quote bit about the 25k armor was WITH trimarks.
Without trimarks you're only looking at about 15,000 raw (not a lot).

....Not to burst your Flow, but you very well can use med/small on the bhaalgorn and small on the ashimmu. Try it for crying out loud, THEY GET THE BONUS.
I tried.
They don't get the bonus.

Ashimmu:
òSlot layout: has lost a turret hardpoint (for a total of 3, still keeps 6 high-slots) òDronebay: received 10m3 dronebay and bandwitdh
Uh?
What's the point of this? First of all the Ashimmu doesn't deserve a drone bay (look at the Blood ships history, where the hell does it get a drone bay?)
Second, smartbomb just popped your two unbonused drones.
Third, are we SERIOUSLY complaining about an extra 70 DPS? A 10m3 drone bay is a JOKE to put on this ship when you are throwing all the other ships REALLY SWEET SYNERGIES. Not that I use 4 turrets anyway on the Ashimmu, but I'm sure some specs may call for it.
Besides, 4 turrets only do 320 DPS anyway, taking one away and you're looking at a paltry 250 DPS. Seriously, either give it a 50m3 dronebay and meet us all the way, add a 7th high slot and remove a turret slot (preferred) or forget this silly change.

As much as I like the changes made, the blood ships are/were overpowered.
It's not just the ashimmu though , although that's a start.
Only, not.
The Ashimmu has a chance to kill its own cap faster than its target, depending on cap boosters. The Ashimmu has a SUCKY cargo bay and that means when it runs out of cap boosters, the ashimmu loses. No way to balance that fallacy.
So, it needs to do extreme damage very quickly in order to maintain its role on the field, especially in a 1v1 situation.
