OK, I gripe about industrial ships...they are freakin slooooow.
Is there anything slower? Titans maybe?

Try an Abaddon with Expander II's in all the lows. Maybe throw in a rig or two.

Edited by: Khemul Zula on 16/09/2009 03:19:06 If I recall correctly, you could get an Impel down to near zero (or even negative) speed with a full rack of cargo expanders.
But the drawbacks seem to be capped (hell, the last cargo expander doesn't lower the speed at all) now.

Negative speed?
So you actually move further away from your destination?

a titan with cargo expanders and nanobot rigs and a pilot with poor nav skills, on EFT its giving me 35 m/s, but the best way to get a slow ship is to just reduce the speed on a normal ship.

Edited by: Spike 68 on 16/09/2009 06:04:36 before they changed cargo expanders fitting a dread with full lows of cargo expanders gave you a neg velocity, which meant you couldn't move or warp. But yeah I think titans are the slowest.

Yes - you could do this with a couple of ships when expander IIs came out.
Expander IIs used to have a set ... -20 m/s I think and when they released them, CCP never thought about the cumulative effect of them.
I had an Iteron 5 that, upon undocking, would not move. It's max speed was 0m/s.
Ralara's banned again so this is my alt :p |

try an Orca with cargo expander II's and 3 cargohold optimization rigs. Max speed is 56.something m/s, but it takes ages to get to that 'speed'. Combine that with an align to warp time of about 30 seconds, and another 20 to actually get into warp and you know why you shouldn't take out an Orca during a war :P

Ha! I carry an industrial in the hold of my freighter for "fast" collection of small volume items. I have quick meditation sessions while the freighter turns :)

You can decrease this number further by fitting t2 rails and loading Javelin ammo into them. That will nerf your speed by another 50% or so.

The only way that you could ever do that was using Dev tools.
Back when the Expander IIs had a -20m/s penalty they were not seeded. The same patch that seeded them changed the penalty to a percentage penalty.

Mr Epeens Impel technique:
1) Undock
2) click warp to gate
3) go do your grocery shopping or something.
4) return to see if you've finished aligning yet.
5) repeat

They were seeded on Sisi, IIRC.
