If I fire on someone first in non-empire 0.0 space, do I have to wait a certain period of time before IĈm allowed to use a jumpgate? What if IĈm returning fire and not the aggressor? --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

No, you are free and clear to do whatever you want in Non-empire 0.0 space. There are no "penalties" involved with either being the aggressor or the defender in using the jump gate after a battle.
That help?

Yes, if you're correct. Now I just have to figure out what the heck happened to my friend. I think she's not telling me the whole story. :P --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

If you activate any offensive module against another player, you will not be able to dock or jump for 60 seconds. Doesnt matter who fired first. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Really? Even in non-empire 0.0 space? --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

From what i understand it doesnt matter where u r, if u shoot someone u cant jump or dock for a certain amount of time (however long it is). ----------------------------------------

Herrmmmmmmmmmm...I've scanned the list of updates without success at finding a link that could prove either side of the argument. --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

Theres not really an argument. If you activate an offensive module on another player, you cant jump or dock for 60 seconds. It doesnt matter where you are, or how many modules you activate, or if you fire first, second, or fifth. I suggust you drag a corpmate outside a station, fire off a round or two, and then try to dock. That'll show you how it works very quickly.
This was put into effect because people would fight sitting next to stations, and as they started to take heavy damage they'd simply dock, quickly repair and recharge, and be back in fighting shape in a few seconds. A bit unfair for anyone who's not in dock/jump range of a station or gate. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

http://myeve.eve-online.com/updates/patchnotes.asp?patchlogID=10 Doesn't say anything about 0.0 space, so I'll assume it means everywhere. Old patch too. Surprised I hadn't run into this yet, but then I'm new to combat. --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |
