Edited by: Crzycnck2 on 22/10/2004 21:46:15 I would love some help regarding setup for my Scorpion and Dominix. I use my Domi mostly for mining, however would like to use it to hunt rats in 0.0 space. If anyone has a great set up for Rat hunting in 0.0 I would love to hear from you. Also looking for a good PvP and Rat set up for my Scorp. Again any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help

my pvp setup for scorp consists off
4x siege (infernos) 2 x heavy nos
2x t2 sensor boosters 4x remote sensor dampners 1x EM hardener 1x Thermal hardener
2x Ballistic Control's 2x PDU's
Works great for me you shouldnt have any troubles maintaing cap with that setup and i never use the nosferatus..
Just make sure your about 30 k away so they have no chance of targetting u even with a 500 second lock time and a targetting range of 11km :) but if there tanking is holding up go in and shove the nosferatus on em try and suck the cap out of him.

The domi as a 0.0 npc killer, hmmmm. 6 neutrons with iridium 1 mwd shield hardeners or cap rechargers 1 large armor hardener 2 wcs, armor hardeners and a sh@t load of drones.
I know your thinking shield hardeners,,, yes it helps!!!!!
for pvp same setup except change to dameners and maybe a few ecm bursts or webbers if your worried about frigs,,,, otherwise rechargers
the domi is by far better up close than the blaster-thron. the extra midslots help. Pucker up your in for a scary ride

Thanks for your posts.
Hojo, wouldn't anti matter be better up close. Iradium is more for long range correct?? at least that's what i have been doing.. anit up close, iradium for longer range and of course drones to do most of the work and save ammo.

Edited by: Thimerion on 27/10/2004 10:41:13 HOJO, in wich fantasy did you use that dominix setup? a dominix has 11250 powergrid for lvl5 engineering...
a small calculations of the setup you've recommended leads to the following powergrid: 6 * heavy neutron = 6*2750 = 16500 1 MWD = 1250 1 L armor repper = 950 Total = 18700
Now, a better dominix setup would be the following setup:
H: 6 ELECTRON blasters (named , they're not that expensive) M: 1 100MN MWD, 3 cap rechargers and a webber L: 1 L armor repper (get a L-accom) 3 named hardeners (don't use 1600mm plates, 3rd hardener is much better) 3 cap rechargers
With this setup you have 40PG left and a bit more CPU. Never use warp core stabs (unless travelling I guess) If you got enough cap, switch a few low slot cap rechargers for damage mods.
Cheers, Thim
***edit*** Hojo, why on earth do you use shield hardeners when you're armor tanking? And allways use antimatter ammo... 3km range or 6km range really is no big difference... Got Sigs? |

Edited by: ElCoCo on 27/10/2004 11:29:49 Thimerion`s setup is for teh win
Remember to web the npc`s.... you can even kill the interceptors ultra fast with your blasters if you get their transversal velocity quite low. (click "look at" the rat you`re shooting, keep double clicking towards the direction he`s heading and try to match his speed )

OK, I am now confused.....
6 L Electron Blasters 6*1500 pg = 9000 pg 1 100 MN MWD = 1250 pg 1 L Accom Armour Repper = 2000 pg
So far we have 12500 pg...
Thimerion how do you get it to fit mate?

6 Heavy Nos 6*2000 pg = 12000 pg and thats without any tanking. I appreciate its untested, but can we have setups that are thought out a bit please?

Oops, seems like I also made a mistake :-) I took the values from my BS setup excel sheet but the dominix section hasn't been used since they increased the PG on the large repairers (used to be 950).
So, the solution for this setup could be to switch CPR's to RCU's. I don't like that tho coz it cripples your defences. Another solution is to switch one large electron blaster with a MED neutron blaster. That gives enough extra PG, the med neut will still do some nice damage...
Cheers, Thim Got Sigs? |
