I don't see the problem because corp tax don't care about escrow transactions. But yeah, you are obviously interested in my post because you're now reading my signature. |

It's simple to bypass really, just create your own 1-man corp.

Corp taxes don't aply to trading, only to bounties and mission ISK rewards, so it doesn't matter. Was that just some non-sequitur on your part, or are you trying to suggest the NPC tax also applies to trading ?!?

A shockingly large number of people see the "tax" line in their wallet after buying/selling, and remain convinced that they just paid a corp tax. ----------------

Overall its a meh issue
you pay 11% of mission/ratting income to the npc cort to get Wardec imunity
Vs giveing it to some clueless **** who thinks selling ships for less than the mineral value = profit(aka the typical Player corp leader) and who gets war decked at least once a month.
or you can join the faction war corp (hey your going to get shot at anyway might as well at least be able to set up your scanner so you can exclude thoes who will not be shooting at you becaus there in the same faction)
Or you can join the usualy mindnumbingly boreing mess that is 0.0 currently so you can tune out the various leaders and FC almost non stop whining on the coms about what sucks more, Sov or WoW tards or Console tards or his or her (yes her) total lack of sex life.(she knows who she is)
honestly 11% tax on mission/rat income is a cheep price to pay to avoid the last one.

I don't think that's "bypassing" so much as the the point of this--to discourage people from spending their entire Eve careers in an NPC corp.
The main thing to keep in mind is that other corps can declare war on a one-man corp, which NPC corps are immune to.

I don't see there being too much of a problem with the change. Some may not like their missions costing them more but at least it puts a value on being immune to possible war decs. Even though the number of corps in game is so vast that unless you have sufficient numbers/tasty ships etc few would even bother. What i'm more interested in is whether it would increase the amount of salvage or loot entering the market. My guess is it'd be only a small increase and may just go unnoticed.

It costs just as little to form a new corp as it does to wardec a corp. This change is a complete no-op for anyone who's been here for more than a month or two.
No "pro" mission runner is going to risk their highsec pimpmobile by joining a corp with random people who could gank them. They'll just form one-man corps and continue business as usual.
Traders rarely undock, so wardecs are of zero consequence. Hauler alts can stay in NPC corps.
Which leaves miners. Unless the NPC tax also applies to reprocessing, they too will remain in NPC corps.
End result: a few newbies join corps spamvertised in rookie chat, get ganked by corpies before they get a clue and leave telling their friends "Eve sucks, I joined a corp and they killed me."
And in summary, bigger blobs are the answer. Now what was the question? |

Is this a suggestion, or something that's been implemented on the test server?
I've been in an NPC corp my whole life (except for brief stints mostly to deploy POSes for corporations in highsec), and I've enjoyed it. I honestly can't think of anything that a corp has that my NPC corp DCMI doesn't have; a wide assortment of players from every background, from poor to affluent, who do everything from mining to mission running to PvP to traders and everything else. -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |
