i trained up drones and mining drones and when i turn let one go and set it to 'mine repeatedly' it just fly up to the asteroid and seems to orbit it quite quickly for a while and fly back, i dont see an increase in my scordite in my cargo when it comes back is it working and i just dont see what it adds or is it not working properly?

Edited by: Kissinger on 23/10/2004 09:45:36 Mining drones only mine fairly small quantities within a mining cycle. Scordite may give you something like 50 units or so of Scordite (struggling to rememebr exactly how much and it will dpend on your skill levels).
When active, they do fly in the general direction of your selected 'roid and then fly back, delivering the ore to your cargo hold.
Finally, make sure you roid's is locked and selected, before choosing the "mine repeatedly" option.
It helps, the closer you are to your 'roid. Get within 1000m and your mining cycle should be out 1 minute or so. Turn off any regular mining lasers you are using, and you should see the increases in ore in your hold, though they won't be anything near as large as that you can obtain with a mining laser.
