Hi all! I am in need of a laptop to play EVE. I currently have a work laptop (Dell Latitude D630) and it runs EVE ok on low settings but many things are still laggy (especially big missions, lots of players, etc). I have a new PC at home that runs it fine but I travel quite a bit so need something to take with me on the road. So a few questions for the tech savvy out there: 1)Most of the laptops I see out there have duel Core processors and 4GB of ram. My main question is what Video Card should I be looking for in a laptop?
2)Is the Video card the only thing I need to worry about or is screen resolution an issue as well (or is that part of video card?)
3)Im looking to spend around $1,000. (Am I crazy to even think that its possible to get a decent laptop for that price?)
I donĘt need something that will run the latest FPS but something that will run on the medium-high settings and dosnt lag too often. Any help on the above questions or even suggestions on Laptops would be great.
Thanks!!

It seems to run okay on my core duo at work. But I got it windowed-down a bunch, no audio and min graphix.
This and if I'm not on grid with more than a couple dozen other things, it speeds right along.

You can get a good deal on Dell Studio XPS 16's atm, they come with a 1gb ATI 4670 and core 2 duo cpu's so more than enough for eve now and possible future client updates.
You should be able to get that for sub $1000 if you shop about/go via a dealer. Or just over $1000 if you buy direct from dell (Linkeh)
That should fit your budget nicely, and you would get a great laptop for it. I've had gaming laptops from ASUS, MSI, ACER even ROCK but the the best ones have been the Dell's by far and the Dell Studio XPS 16 is the best I've ever had.
