Edited by: Reincarnator on 21/09/2009 07:22:01 Hey, I need to a survey on fair trade products and I can barely find anyone around my local area willing to help, so I thought I'd post it on here. Thanks in advance for helping.
Have you heard of fair trade groceries?
Have you heard of fair trade clothing?
What local businesses stock fair trade products?
What products are they?
Do you currently buy fair trade products?
If not, why?
Has the recession affected your purchases?
If fair trade products were equally priced, would you buy them?
Thanks again

Yes.
Quote: Have you heard of fair trade clothing?
Yes.
Quote: What local businesses stock fair trade products?
None that I'm aware of, where I currently live.
Quote: What products are they?
Used to be coffee at first, then fruit & florist flowers, then small-time textiles.
Quote: Do you currently buy fair trade products?
No.
Quote: If not, why?
Best I'm aware, there's no reliable locally-owned retail sources for them around here.
The mass-retail outlets (mainly supermarkets) that do carry them typically carry just a token amount.
Quote: Has the recession affected your purchases?
No.
Quote: If fair trade products were equally priced, would you buy them?
Certainly. I used to buy them, when I was able to, at a premium.

yes no several but don't know specifics nor cba tea, coffee, chocolate and related stuff not really I somehow have the idea that health and quality checks are less stringent on those products (yes I get the irony of favouring processed and altered food we have here) no, I buy what I want and those reasons don't change (unless I've been shown the error of my ways) no, I'd much rather see a (prolonged) campaign and 'proof' of those goods being high quality and as 'natural' as possible, price is secondary

7. I believe recession has effected everyone, just some more than others.
8. What be the difference? There'd be no selling point and people would more likely buy the product they trust more in. ---------------------------

Yes, but not seen any before oddly enough.
Quote: What local businesses stock fair trade products?
The Co-Operative. (?, Have I answered this correctly?)
Quote: What products are they?
General food-stuffs, coffee, tea, etc. They do all assortments of food now, fruit, general groceries. I'm actually eating a packet of Fair-trade crisps right this moment oddly enough, Wine Salt. Yum.
Quote: Do you currently buy fair trade products?
Yes. I prefer to (hopefully) do others in the world a fair deal.
Quote: Has the recession affected your purchases?
Nope. Can't say it has.
Quote: If fair trade products were equally priced, would you buy them?
Certainly. Well, I do now, but this would keep me continuing to pay for them, certainly.
Edited for extra information in answers.
