The current problem is that a member of my corp wants to do research at a pos but every time he tries it says he does not have access to the wallet division
Currently:
The POS is in the same station that the corp hanger is in
The BPO is in the corp hanger
The Corpmate has Scientific Networking I
The Corpmate has the following roles:
Fuel Tech (for copying so he can pull them out of the lab)
Junior Accountant
Rent Research Slot
Factory Manager
Access to Division 1 wallet
Access to Division 1 hanger
My own alt has these exact same roles and can access the POS just fine which leads me to think the issue is not with roles.
When he goes to research he selects Division 1 for input and output
There is money in the Division 1 wallet to cover the research.
Where am i going wrong?

Have him check what wallet division he has it set default (active) to. You can only have one active wallet division selected at a time from the corp wallet, it may be set to the wrong one.

Saehta, I've noted the roles or rights you have listed for your corp mate to access the research slots at your Pos. I've been looking for a guide which would explain how to set that up.
I've read on the forums that you should not allow the Factory Manager role because a nefarious person could cancel all the research jobs. Which way do you go with this because the potential for a significant loss is very risky.
I'd like to have corp mates be able to access research slots on a 2nd or 3rd Pos but I'm not sure how to do this. Your method may be it or close to what should be done.
And yes assigning access to Pos research and/or build slots should be made easier. How do large corps or alliances handle that ?

:::I haven't spoken with the individual yet about whether the wallet is the issue, I suspect it is as he has stated that it is trying to pull funds out of division 7. I instructed him what to do and will see if that was the issue:::
Faranti: From what I understand about researching at POSs, factory manager has to be given so that they can access the structures. Rent Research Slot then specifies that they can operate the mobile labs. This gives them the ability to cancel all research jobs and is a risk that you have to take.
If anyone knows of a way this can be blocked I will gladly accept being corrected so that research projects can be projected but I don't think there is a way around this. If they can cancel their slots they can cancel all slots.
I run a single research POS for our alliance and simply put, we just run the risk of one person with the role canceling all research slots. If it happens you boot the person and redo the projects. Generally stated, I would not run any high profile research in these labs.
Now.... it is possible to isolate a lab by restricting it to just a corp and not the alliance. I don't know if you could restrict it to where not even corp mates can use it.
