Interesting stuff.
Or turret/launcher scripts for M and L guns (and equivalent launchers) that gives them a chance of actually hitting smaller ships? The penalties could be 75% less DPS, 30 second script load time etc etc...
Real weapon counters for Larger ships instead of the one size fits all Neut?

Well now its Energy Neutralisers.
They pretty much ruin PVP for smaller classes of ships vs bigger ships. Yes, I'm aware of cap boosters, which are also now a "must fit" for almost any cap dependent ship - but this in itself shows the imbalance.
Am I the only person to think this?
And I am sorry to produce a poorly expressed whine thread on a Friday of all days, but I'm grumpy today for some strange reason (no, I haven't just been Neuted to death - I actually haven't played Eve in 2 weeks due to PC problems); But [Incoming methaphor] seeing the nail sticking out I decided it is time to get (it) hammered.
Adapt? I am NOT an alt! |

Well, they did get an indirect buff after the great speed nerf as it now takes twice as long to get out of range, but not sure it is really much stronger then all the other mods that also got the indirect buff. For a BS, a large Neut is one of the few options protecting it from smaller ships.

Adapt?
Indeed Anna, (did you know that if you are crap at touch typing like me, and mis-hit the N, your name spells Abba ??) but on that same point, if there was a script for different ECCM mods then that would allow you to adapt in real time ?
Consider this if you choose to...;
You are flying a ship that is susceptible to any kind of EW: If you might possible be target jammed, fit standard ECCM. If you might be damped, fit a sensor booster.
Neither are guarantees against the original attack, but they do help to counter it by improving your odds vs the percentage based chance (in the case of jamming) or equalises the effect of the damp, so why shouldn't there be a counter for each and every type of EW ?
The scripts to boost ECCM with their drawbacks (if they had any) wouldn't even affect the role that rigs play. Rigs themselves are a way of hard-coding customisation into the role you want your ship to play. Want your ship to be an armour tanking mofo ? Add some ANP's or Trimarks !
However, if your ECCM mods could load scripts the same as an opponent could, then you'd have a lot more meta-gaming potential... and that could be done on the fly as and when needed !
Scotty: Captain, the Romulans are Tracking Disrupting our phasers !!! CK: Re-route the shields power flux doofer to combat the disruption so we can shoot those mofos Scotty... please ?!
Scotty: Captain, the bloody Klingons are neutralising our capacitor, och aye !!! CK: Re-route all sub-warp engine power to combat the neutralising thingamajiggy stuff so we have enough cap to shoot the phaser things Scotty... please ?!
As mentioned before, this would add an extra dimension to combat, and might even convince CEO's against getting their n00b recruits into cookie cutter Domi Neut-mobiles - I mean how predictable, and fkn boring are they anyway ? Add some skill & thinking back into the game !!!

Dear OP.
The game has provided modules such as:
Cap Boosters - Many tackling AF I fly have one.
Small NOS - lack mid slots? Fit one f these - they cycle several times faster than a heavy neut - your cap won't stay drained for long.
Amazing the things people complain about...
