I've been doing lvl 4 with my cnr and I want to try out the domi but the problem is when I leave my sentries out sometimes they will keep attacking a fast target that they can not track so when I come back they're still shooting the same target. So my question is what are your drone tactics for lvl 4 missions? Do you deploy med drones first to take care of the smaller/faster targets or just hope the sentries will go for the larger targets first?
(I use T2 sentries and have most drone skills to 4/5.)

Dont use Sentries, use Ogres.

yes, when i'm doing it for sec gains, i use smalls... and they will clear the fleid just takes longer, but works quite well.

So T2 med drones are fast enough to catch the fastest frig npc's while being strong enough to defeat the strongest bs npc's?

I'd even say that an orbiting NPC elite frig (the e-war ones) can be catch by Ogres.
(I simply unleash Ogres II and let them eat)

So do you bother switching drone types for the npc weakness or just use gal all around?

at equivalent tech level, switch drones...
If you got only Gallente T2 drones, use them each time therm is in the weaknesses, even in secondary.
(and i advise you to go for Minmatar as the second drone type to specialize in... For Angels (exp/kin) and for Pvp)

I've never done the AFK missioning thing, so I'm curious: Doesn't it require you to turn down pretty much any mission with a spawn? My drones seem to be the target of choice for anything that isn't already shooting at me.

See, I don't get this, drop Hammerhead II's in an Angel mission and come back later and you will have 80% of the Angels remaining and no drones.

Afking only works on the missions that don't aggro your drones, at best you pay half attention, recall drones, get aggro and release. I tend to make ISK this way whilst doing studies etc.
The Blockade is the best example, everything aggros the player. Drones get ignored, so shoot one, launch Drones and let the wallet fatten up.
