Hi all,
I just lost my Megathron to a bug. I'm not whinging about it, just after some advice on wether i can get reimbursement or not. The situation is as follows.
I was tanking a spawn in a 0.0 system. The spawn had been tanked for at least 2 hours and i was experiencing absolutely no cap problems and both my armour reps and hardners were all functioning. Having finished our mining session, i then went to launch my ogres to kill the spawn. The second i hit "launch", my ship exploded. Now i'm 99.9% certain that all my modules were active and this was not down to my idiocy. I checked my log and noticed it was completely empty with no records of anything. Also the messege i received from Concord about the loss of my ship didn't detail who killed me, which it normally does right? (might be mistaken here, i don't make a habit of dying) Here it is, edited for security purposes.

Have i got a case for reimbursement? Or am i royally screwed? If i am, fair enough. I've petitioned CCP and think i've gone about this the right way but to be honest it's the first time i've done it. What do you lot think?
Edit- OK i've just thought that maybe my log was empty as my ship had been destroyed. Also i've been a plum, the messege from concord was longer detailing involved parties but in my hot tempered haste i never scrolled down. Heh - at least i've admitted my mistake!  was still a bug mind.

'launch' is not spelled 'self destruct'

yeah! petition, although it sounds like u hit self destruct.  even that should have gave ya a message asking if you want to abort.

hehe the self destruct button isn't in the drone options. it did cross my mind however.

Theres a 120 second timer self destruct anyway. Did you hit anything two minutes BEFORE you lauched your drones?

Theres a 120 second timer self destruct anyway. Did you hit anything two minutes BEFORE you lauched your drones?

in order to mimic real life CCP has enabled a fuction to put pipe bombs on enemy ships triggered to go off under certian conditions such as activating weapons or in your case open your drone bay........
no not really, sorry bout your loss and i hope ccp reimberses you, as for me i wont be luanching drones from a megatron thats tanked for a while lol
