To my understanding there used too be two types of the mordu mission ( with or without the raid leader ) but this weekend i have had the mission twice with only 3 rats in the second wave.
i hope that it a third typ ( that i have missed before ) and i still can get the fun mission.

I have not had a Raid Leader in well over 30 Mordu missions on 2 accounts.
Starsi dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them. |

The Leader is in on lvl3, and there is a squad leader on lvl2

Theladon: The reason that i use one of the few things that ever came from ammar, that is anything close too good. Is that the minmatars has always been superior due too our adaptability. Thats why ammarians got kicked out of minmatar space.

ive had the mordu mission about 120 times now and only gotten the raid leader one time. my guess is it is just like the gone beserk or blockade where the big rat dont show but on very rare occasions as ive done both of those over 100 times as well in all 4 major areas of space and only goten one true sansha and 4 dread guristas but only got named loot from the true sansha and it was only a armor plate.

last 2 times ive had the mordu mission it had the raid leader
ive noticed a pattern....the 1st wave is always the same..the 2nd wave gets different tho, if its the non leader version the 2nd wave has 1 cheetah and 2 pumas, the leader version has 2 cheetahs and 2 pumas, then the last wave, non leader is a leopard and a lion, the leader version is the leader, leopard, and 3 katanas.
and ive gotten these with a cruiser active...

True but these hardwiring implants aren't always so poor.
I think Sabahl got a 2% tracking to all weapons one which is pretttttttttty cool.

I've done this mission quite abit on L3 and have had 3 Raid Leaders, also had 2 Squad Leaders doing it on L2 Missions.
Today though i went to do the mission(L3) and got a spawn i hadnt seen before, and it was weaker;
1st Spawn; 1x Bounty Hunter, 5x Katanas, 1x Cheater
2nd Spawn; 1x Cheater, 1x Bobcat, 3x Gladius(usually get gladius on the Level 2 mission)
3rd Spawn; 1x Lion, 1x Leopard
I dunno if they've just added another variation or nerfed the first few spawns and kept the last spawn the same.

Apparently they have beefed up the level 3 missions quite alot too. (see appropriate thread)
Way to go CCP, now the lvl3 will be more of a challenge for solo playing mission runners and the lvl 4 will probably take more than one player to complete...
I like it.

Guys the mordu raid leader ONLY appears in low sec. i done abut 30 mordu and gone beserk missions in 0.8 and never got a single one. Now doing these same missions in 0.4 , every few mordu and gone beserk they chuck a raid leader, and a 550k thorax in gone beserk.
the thorax was a shadow serp tho.
Word of advice, if you want raid leaders and faction rats, head to 0.4 or below, it is actually quite safe.

Only the Bounty Hunter can scramble/web. I usually don't even bother with a warp stabalizer in this mission, just take out the bounty hunter right away, and deal with the others as I wish. I only add the stabalizer if there are 2 bounty hunters

Only the Bounty Hunter can scramble/web. I usually don't even bother with a warp stabalizer in this mission, just take out the bounty hunter right away, and deal with the others as I wish. I only add the stabalizer if there are 2 bounty hunters

ok if you guys have had the raid leader etc in 0.8 that is fair enough, although i have never had them in high sec. At least, it does seem that lowsec brings out the raid leader, and definetly faction/commanders.

Can someone confirm that you canNOT do the Mordu mission with a ceptor? I've never run it and have heard lots of warnings.... do I NEED a BS to do it?

The problem with this mission or many of the lvl 4 missions will be the webbers. I think the npcs interceptors have 20km range on their webbers and scramblers. If your interceptor gets webbed and scrambled you will most likely die, so really it is matter of being able to pick-off the npc interceptors without getting webbed/scrammbled.

In the 2nd (?) wave, when 2 Puma + 2 Cheeta spawn = no raidleader
when only 3 of them (see above) = raidleader

They are not in the mordus mission but the bounty hunter wingman also warp scramble.

Only the Bounty Hunter can scramble/web. I usually don't even bother with a warp stabalizer in this mission, just take out the bounty hunter right away, and deal with the others as I wish. I only add the stabalizer if there are 2 bounty hunters
They are not in the mordus mission but the bounty hunter wingman also warp scramble.
Why dont we all f1f2f3 eachother? |

Hmm, I had it exactly the other way around. Few days ago I had 4 ships in the second wave, and the raid leader, a lion, and 3 katanas in the last wave. That was the only time ever, since the nerf, that I had 4 ships in the second wave. This was in safe space.
