Problem solved.
I am curious as to what makes you think this is any type of solution? IÆve run into several alumni of EVE-University that say absolutely not to waste your time with them.
In any organization the size of Eve-Uni, your going to find some that don't like it, some that don't like the rules they live by, and some that end up having bad experiences with other players/managers/directors - whatnot. I'll admit off the bat its not a "one-size-fits-all". Overall though, its a good basic grounding in the the basics of the game, with plenty of resources (video/audio class library) and helpful people.
One of the forum sigs I've seen there is: "Eve is groups of Bastards, fighting other groups of Bastards to see who can be the biggest Bastard, and we're running a charity..."
When I left, there were in place: a) free skillbooks (1 ea) under 1M isk,
b) ship replacement program for any ship (cruiser or smaller)lost while on combat ops during wartime
c) free vanilla t-1 mods/ammo
d) anyone (and I mean anyone) can call for a fleet and take one out. I did as a clueless 2 month old newb, had 28 people under me! When we started out I was all "I'm gonna get everyone killed, oh-noes!", and when it ended (and we hadn't caught anyone) I was "s**t, I didn't get anyone killed, oh-noes!" Great fun!
let me look at the recruitment page, these are some of the Corps Recruiting:
Imperial Navy (Faction Warfare)
Adhocracy, Inc (generalists)
Thukk U. (Faction Warfare)
Zulu Logistics (casual/EU/Gallente/FW group)
MBK Brigade (White Hat/Anti-Pirates)
Q-Cats (US/Gallente/FW Group)
Reaper Industries (PVP)
Nuts-N-Bolts (Generalists)
Black Dragon Elite (PVE for $ - PVP for fun)
Veto Academy (PVP Corp w/some Roleplaying elements)
Sniggwaffe (PVP Corp, and good @ what they do)
T-Grads (White Hat/Anti-Pi's/0.0 in Morsus Mihi)
Some of the recruiting spots are more "professional looking" than others, but as you can see, there are a wide range of Corps that recruit from the Uni.
So while you may have heard "Stay Away", there are plenty of us who are happy with our time there, and the friends we made (some now out of game friends for me...)
Thats why I say go there. If nothing else, the Recruitment page (Work Fair forum) is a good starting place to look for people with your similar interests.
edited for "cruiser size or smaller" and spacing/spelling...
