Are you looking for a solid, dependable corporation with mature players?
Dark Star Industries is now recruiting!
Dark Star Industries (D.S.I) was formed more than three years ago as the Empire recruiting corp for a 0.0-based corporation. In the time since, we have become a solid organization in our own right with more than 100 members. We offer a broad array of services to our members, and specialize in assisting newer EVE players looking to take their game to the next level. We have no skill point minimums and no mandatory operations. And as your experience and confidence in EVE grows, we can help you move into low-sec faction warfare, 0.0 mining, or full-on 0.0 PvP combat. And you can do this while still staying with our overall parent organization and retaining your corporation rank and seniority, and relationships with new friends around the world!
In short, our overall parent corporation offers the full range of EVE playing experiences. In addition, our parent portal includes more than 650 total members playing a wide variety of MMOs. We are also planning our DUST 514 company, when that game is released, which will also be part of our parent organization.
Dark Star Industries offers the following advantages to our members:- a mature membership: many of our members come from military or real-life professional backgrounds;
- a solid base in a less-frequented, and quite lucrative area of Empire space;
- access to a wide variety of free corporate assets, including frigates, cruisers, industrials, mining barges, T1 modules, T1 ammo, T1 drones, and skillbooks;
- access to our industrial capacity for below-cost battlecruisers, battleships, and capital ships;
- access to our POSes for mining;
- active players at nearly all U.S./Europe time-zones to chat or participate in operations with;
- frequent scheduled group operations, including mining, ice mining, level 4 missions, and wormhole operations;
- frequent practice operations in and training on the Singularity test server;
- classroom and practical PvP instruction, at whatever pace you desire to learn;
- access to our forums and TeamSpeak server; and,
- as your experience grows, for those who desire it, a transfer to our low-sec faction warfare or 0.0 corporations.
All of these benefits are provided regardless of skill points. If you like missioning, for instance, you can join us on our regularly-scheduled level 4 mission ops right from day one and accrue all the benefits of these missions with a solid team around you to watch your back.
You can learn more about us and our portal at http://www.sghq.com/, or you can visit us in the EVE in-game channel DSI-RECRUITMENT.

Great corporation regardless if your new or have a hundred million skill points. They offer a lot of services and constant fleets so you wonÆt be alone in the world of eve (if you want).
It also gives you great access to 0.0, faction warfare, organized Mining ops, established logistics, and great advice and fun from really experienced players. With DSIÆs mature player base it is simply a really nice place to be. I really can't say enough good things about the corp. It really will be the last corp you join.
I will also say DSI is not a corp that is going to be greatàit is a corp that is great. Many Corps will promise many things in these recruitment posts and how they plan on growing and expanding into 0.0, eventually setting up stations, or eventually offering organized fleets. DSI already does all these things, donÆt join a corp like every other waiting to be great, join a corp that is already great.

A really great place for hardcore and casual alike. I was lucky enough to join DSI shortly after converting from trial to paid account. It probably would have taken me a good year, and many many millions of ISK, to learn what I've learned in just 2 months in the corp.
Monday L4's are a great way to make some nice money, have good social interaction on TS, and learn how to do high level missions.
And if you find that as you learn more about EvE you want to do something more oriented toward nullsec, faction warfare, or others, there's likely to be a group with Sturmgrenadier doing it.
Come on! Join up!

No matter what you want to do, DSI is large enough that Someone is doing it Someone can help you Someone can teach you Someone will join you So it it's great for newer players or players looking to swap gears.
Even if extremely experienced in EvE our POS's, 0.0 and organized op's will give you a ton to do. Weather your a cap ship pilot, cap ship manufacturer or some one mining in a burst. DSI is the place to be.
I can't imagine playing eve without DSI.

Hi. Two characters here, 29 & 27 M SP. The combat pilot is pre-Cap, the Industrialist is working towards an Orca. Between the two I'd say I have about half the T2 ships covered, at least Min and Gal anyway. I've spent some time in Deklein, but have never really been down "South" (or East or West for that matter).
Anyway, before I give this anymore thought, and at this point it's just a thought, I felt it would be helpful to know what tz you work out of. I checked your site but got no clear indication. Thank you for your time.

One of the things I noticed straight from the start is that DSI really has taken me under their wings once I communicated to them where I was at and what exactly ôwasö my learning curve in Eve. It is a mature group of people to play Eve Online with. The Corp has integrity and a dedicated group. I respect the group. This Corp works perfectly with hardcore pilots or casual pilots. As a parent it works out for me.
I really feel the one thing that was missing from my Eve Online experience was a stable corporation that could help me and in return I could dedicate myself to the Corporation and its needs as whole. I get this with DSI. I can honestly say I have a home here and feel very welcome. I hope that anyone who is looking for this sort of community will consider us. And all MMORPG refugees from other games are most welcome!

We're most active during late EU and throughout the US TZs, but really, the only time when our members aren't on-line is during Asia's TZ.

Hey there. Returning to EVE for a second time. I posted an application a couple days ago and can be found here:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1188845
Not sure if I'm someone you're looking for. I've read what you offer and seem like a great place for me to join. The only question I have really are time zones. There a good player base in or near EST? That was my main issue when I played several months ago; 90% of the Corp was in the UK.
If you have any further questions regarding my application, feel free to PM me in game or send me a mail. I should be on tonight 'round 7ish EST.
Thanks for reading.

Well, you sound like most members of DSI.
I can see eve being difficult if alone and I can not imagine playing if I had not been with DSI. Starting eve alone is not something I want to contemplate. I would suggest mission running for isk as it is do able with a combat ship and rewards training combat skills. All of that can lead to pvp. Ewar is essential in any fleet battle, a BS does 0 dps if it canÆt hit you. For running missions we offer mission running in groups for pilots who canÆt quite solo a level 4 or canÆt pull there own missions. This leads to a substantial isk increase compared to what you would earn solo. We also offer perfect refines so you get more isk from your loot.
DSI has a large number of active players, if one desires a group can always be found. We also have sister/parent corps as well whom we often do joint opÆs with. DSI leadership really is top notch, there is no real guild politics or drama that is so prevalent in other guilds or corps. Everything is well organized from our ordering system to fleet opÆsàIf people canÆt take a joke, thatÆs there issue.
Long as you have a mike IÆm sure we can forgive your accent ;)
While we have all the Benefits of a hard core style corp we realize life comes first. Me personally I have a wife and a 4 month old, many of our members are older. We pride ourselves on being a more mature environment.

DSI is an EVE-changing experience.
I was initially invited to spend a month flying with DSI in order to determine whether or not I wanted to join them, and by the end of the first week I was 100% sure I would do so. They are a very helpful and friendly corporation, offering many things to a new or also the more experienced player. The members are all great people, mature, and very fun to play with.
Join the in-game channel "DSI-Recruitment" to check us out and inquire further. Anytime I'm online I'll be there to answer any questions!

What I appreciate about DSI most:
- great group of friendly people - lack of corp/guild drama - this is a stable corp with great leadership - lots of experience with eve, players range from noobs to people who started in beta - people with families who understand real life issues - scheduled group ops to join if you so desire, lets you plan ahead :) - room to grow into leadership once you get a little experience (if you want) - options that help prepare you get to low/null sec, if that's what you want to do - members respect each other's viewpoints and ideas - great forums to peruse too!
If all that sounds like what you are looking for, give DSI a try! You won't be sorry.

This post is geared to newer players (<1 yr in game) who may be feeling lost, overwhelemed, or think there's just not anybody out there who can help me really understand any aspect of EvE without my having to learn entirely through the school of hard knocks.
Been playing MMOs for six years, and hands down this is the best run corp/guild/team/etc I've been a part of.
I went from being a complete noob to EvE with about a week in-game to being able to solo just about every L4 I can find in 2 months - thanks to DSI. The advice, support, and opportunity this corp provides is unlike any I've seen in any MMO.
How many of you were flying a fully geared Drake and sitting on 600M+ ISK after less than 3 months in game? Be honest. I have no doubt that my next 3 months in DSI will be equally fruitful as I move up to a fully-geared Raven and a Hulk, and a CNR after that.
I also really like being a part of the broader SG organization in EvE because if my interest change from missions & mining to nullsec PvP or faction warfare, well there are sister corps that I can easily move to if I want to check those out. And if I eventually decide they're not for me well then I can come back.
Give us a try - worth investing your time. Contact info at the top of the thread here.

Hey guys,
I'm on my return to EVE, having played for about a week and a half last December during a trial run; I don't think I knew quite what to expect and was overwhelmed by the experience. I started up again about 3 weeks ago and have quite enjoyed the experience this time around. I've gotten to the point where I am interested in finding a corporation that is mature and established yet friendly and understanding to the new guy. I've got to say that your post and the testimonials are quite intriguing :) as is the web site.
I've started out interested in mining and industry, but have also enjoyed missioning (beginning level of course) so far as well. And having watched the Alliance Tournament last weekend, I've found myself fascinated by combat in a way I didn't think I would be (I've always been a carebear at heart in all the games I've played). I think I would describe myself best as a casual player with hardcore bursts of activity at times, interested in mining but who'd like a taste of everything EVE has to offer eventually.
I also appreciate that your organization has professionals who understand that Real Life trumps all :) I'm a nurse at a regional hospital and my hours can be irregular at best; I'm also married to a non-gamer so not all my free time can be devoted to being on a computer, nor would I want it to be. I played EQ over its first 5 years and spent many a 10 and 12 hour day raiding and camping spawns; I no longer want a game to be a 2nd job :) I want a group I can learn from, contribute back to, and generally have fun with :)
If I sound like someone who might fit in with your corp, I should be on this weekend and would love to look y'all up and chat and get a feel for each other. All the best either way, and game on :) |

In the last 10 days, DSI members have participated in:
- Two scheduled L4 mission ops;
- Three unscheduled L4 mission ops;
- One scheduled Empire mining op (29 ships participating);
- Two unscheduled Empire mining ops;
- One scheduled class 3 wormhole op (attacks on Sleeper sites, Crokite/gas mining);
- Two scheduled PvP classes; and,
- Numerous pick-up mission ops at lower levels.
What did your corp do? Oh, you don't have a corp? Check us out!

^^ Agreed
This is why I love being in DSI.
There is always something going on. There is always people to fleet up with. In addition to that DSI does interesting things like wormholes, faction warfare and so forth. Other corps may run mining ops and be mining focused and only ever do one thing. DSI lets you do what ever you want in EvE and provides the tools and people to do it.
This is the reason i think DSI is perfect for both new and old players. We run all parts of the game. You want to do: 0.0? we can accommodate that as we hold systems. Wormholes? We run level 3's regularly and some members are even permanently camped in higher level wormholes. Faction warfare? Great for learning the ropes and good cheap fun. We do that as well. Missions? We run level 4's on a regular basis and lots run them between scheduled ops. Mining? Fleet mining ops complete with orca's, haulers, command ships, and other mining barges.
Other guild may promise many things.. DSI actually does them!
These things are not plans that we plan to do..but things we do!
So drop by and talk to use.
Drop by even if you have in-game questions. You will find the members of DSI very mature and helpfull.

Been with DSI now for a few days now and i can say they are a very well oiled machine
The organisation within the corp is impressive and the members are very helpfull
You also have the advantage of having a parent corp that is heavily involved in pvp
So missions, wh, mining, pvp, militia they have it all
You can learn more about us and our portal at http://www.sghq.com/, or you can visit us in the EVE in-game channel DSI-RECRUITMENT.
