Hi, my name is Amanda and I'm the admin assistant for Rancer Defence League.
I heard a rumour recently, and wanted to verify the truthiness of it. I heard that if you undock from the Jita 4-4 station, turn the camera 180 degrees, and align to the moon there, it's an instawarp. It was put in the game as a secret by CCP after their freighters got ganked.

Its a well known fact that the moon in question acts as an instawarp. Its also good for planting a bookmark mid-way between that station and that moon, so that people don't camp the moon. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

I'm sure there are more safe spots around that moon than anywhere else in eve.

Confirming that logging out a freighter in a 500AU warp moves you to Jove space.

I call shenanigans on that. No way is that possible to do within normal game mechanics.
On another note, how do you like your pods in the morning? |

Seeing as my furthest BM is like 580AU away from the nearest object... 0.6au/s warp speed -> around 15 min. So I have time to go grab a sandwitch while the ship is warping (and any flag I might have gotten by you shooting at me - will be gone when I exit warp).
I have warped longer some years ago tho, when you could use infinite-BM's, warped my pod some 3000au, took 20 min (so that crushed the myth about pod having unlimited cap).

It used to be possile, no longer is..
afaik it was from the days when scorps cld reach near warp speed with non-stacked multi-mwd setups c/d?
Or maybe it was skillfull scanning thats no longer possible etc.. EVE Trivia EVE History

Actually it may very well still be possible. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

You could create un-reachable safe spots by using the map a few years back, when you started warp to one, it basically warped you away from system using all cap available, once you left warp you could tell it warp again and it just kept warping you away in a straight line.
As far as I know it was a "feature" that has now been removed, the only BM feature I am still aware of is Sun Bouncing, but I've not tried that for about 1.5 years either.

You can probably set long range bookmarks using scan deviations.. It was possible at one time (after the bm nerf, but before the scan probe fu(err refinement)). 200 au bm's in a few mins tho, sounds a little odd.. I would have thought using scan probe deviations your looking at hours to do 200 au. ----------- Never Forget |
