Whats the story of Delve?

Cick Lunt	Posted - 2009.10.01 15:36:00 - [1] So everyone heard about the rumours of officer spawns trough whole delve. Witch is statistcly not possible. U should not be able to get a officer spawn in a -0.41 true sec system. I just wondered what is the story behind this? Its it becasue of a bug? and i need to file a bug report or is it to compensate the low amount of NPC blood raider space? Will this get fixed in the next patch? will delve become NPC space? or will just this bug fixed? CCP pls explain becasue i just dont get it?

Vaal Erit Science and Trade Institute	Posted - 2009.10.01 20:15:00 - [12] The way I understand it is: Each NPC pirate faction has a home region that adds a huge factor into the quality of rats that spawn to the point of disregarding the true security of that system. I believe it is Fountain, Stain, Curse, Delve and Venal. In all of those regions, you will see high quality rat spawns in even the worst true security systems. As far as I read into the dev blogs, true security may be irrelevant or trivialized in Dominion. I'm also training Minmatar Capitals! And I eat Lions!

AFAIK officers can spawn in any -sec system, its just they spawn MUCH more often in pirate sov regions. We did have some officer spawns in deklein but tbh rate was like one per week if not less. When we moved to venal the rate was around one officer per 1-2 days.

Of course they also happen to be some of the most fought over regions...

Unless I'm mistaken Fountain has the same properties. Remember that this was before they created an internal affairs department and reformed the ISD department. Give me some t2 bpos bro.
