We were asked by attendees of Fanfest and here http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1190801 to provide information on modules and ships that are in high demand due to *ahem* ...loss.
So we did that. And we went one step further.
Now when you use the BattleClinic item database, you can see the usage and loss history for any ship or module in the game.
Let's say you own the BPO for a Geddon and you live in Curse. Want to see how many Geddons have died in HED-GP? First, look up the ship in the item database: http://eve.battleclinic.com/item_database.php?id=i643&tab=usage_history
Then, select the system you're interested in from the drop-down. The graph shows the number of ships used and the number destroyed.
Quick FAQs > Where do you get this data? BattleClinic's 8 million killmails! > And this works for individual modules, too? Yes. Every module, every drone, all ammo types. > The graphs aren't up to date! The query is chugging through 8 million killmails. We expect it to be complete in just a few days. The server's got a few other things to do. > Will it be real-time once the history is built? Stats will be updated daily. > Where can I ask for more features? Start a thread over at BC.
Thanks, enjoy, and ...uh... Build Smart!

Whoa. Battleclinic is getting pretty damn handy. Trying to give Chribba a run for the useful fan site title?

Awesome! This is exactly the type of thing that CCP should have been providing all along. I'm glad to see that BC is stepping up to the plate. This is really impressive as it will allow us rank and file players to get a better overall picture of how ships and modules are really performing in the game. -- Bellum Eternus Inveniam viam aut faciam.

Please do away with the login requirement, more often than not I try to get to a killmail link, then get told I need to login which I then do, after which it redirects me to the forum. Trying to get back to the killmail means me having to login again.
Quite annoying and a major reason why I normally don't click BC links anymore.

Nice.
Going for the losses per system list is an odd choice. A Region list and a System search would make more sense.
Here's hoping more of the stuff on my wish-list get granted.

Yeah, 30 seconds is alot of time to waste...
Apparently they have a login requirement to "prevent abuse" from the people who have too busy a schedule to waste 30 seconds creating an account.

Confirming that I'm a lazy **** who finds making online accounts for every damn thing annoying. Confirming that I also use EVE-Kill instead of Battleclinic because of this (well, also because EVE-Kill looks nicer and presents the information I want much more conveniently). _________

I feel like this feature is already in game, just look at market history, shows transactions per day, average price, low price, and high price.
who cares what the hell the mods are being used for if they sell well You're posting again!? Has it really been 5 mins?

Killboards are useless until they get rid of the copy and paste deal. But an isk lost vs isk earned ratio would make more sense for anyone who doesnt do combat. An official in game stat tracking system would make even more sense, but would cost some too. Hey its a good thing we pay monthly.

lol... confirming that trolls dont appreciate good design.
Im very impressed with the way you can zoom into the graph, really easy to use, no clutter.
EDIT: and the current market only shows modules that are bought/sold, it doesnt show how many are destroyed, so it is extra information.

It would be nice if we could have more than one item on the graph (or did I miss that feature?)

You didn't, but it's on the list. In between feature releases, we do database load balancing, hence the small delay.

Agreed. CCP should be the ones providing this information. It should be built right into the game.

who cares what the hell the mods are being used for if they sell well
So you can see WHERE the stuff get's used/lost a lot so you can move product to that region to sell for more than the region you are in. What you are saying is in game, is only for what is bought on the market. You obviously don't understand the difference between the two things though.
