Did you feel like you made a difference in WoW as a lowbie?
*Takes quest "Kill Hogger" *Kills Hogger *Turns in quest *Walks up the road 10 minutes later *Sees Hogger walking around like nothing happened *Has made a difference

Originally by: Zozzzo This post is actually helpful. Thanks. I still don't get what is wrong with my fitting. I can't imagine what mid slot module would be better than shield resists that nerf around 30-40% of the damage each hit. Shield Booster?
Honestly, I've probably played the game for a shorter amount of time than you have and even I understand what all these posters are saying. I swear the last 2 pages of posts have been of people specifically pointing out why you sucked at winning in pvp. I can't count the amount of times within the last 2 pages where people have blatantly pointed out that your ship is an armor tanking ship and not a shield one, yet you ignorantly ignore this and STILL talk about shield tanking your ship and about how pvp is all about money and equipment. I'm more of a newbie than you are(and still a rabid WoW player) and I understood this from the very first post outlining your mistakes.
Honestly either read the advice people are giving you from this thread(And there's a ton) or just stop complaining. It's that simple. Quite honestly I'm surprised how helpful everyone is being towards you when you ignorantly insult the game and tell the posters to kill themselves. When a bigger newb than you can see the steaming pile of ignorance coming from your posts, it's pretty obvious that you're doing something wrong.
And FYI EVE online is one of the most played MMO's out there. Where you got the idea of EVE being unpopular is beyond me. Its population is no WoW that's for sure, but when compared to all the other MMO's out there(LOTR D&D etc.) EVE is among the most popular and probably the only MMO from the bunch aside from WoW that has a constantly rising player base every year. Not to mention this is a game where your current in game avatar is simply a small non-interactive portrait.

You can't approach EVE with a 30 day mindset. This game requires time and effort and ALOT of luck finding the right corp. You also need to be thick skinned and not someone with OCD.
Simple truth of EVE: You will die (alot), you will be scammed, you will be robbed, you will be misled and you will be mistreated. If you can rise up above all that and find fun in the math, then you found the right game.
WOW, AoC, WAR, and the rest of the main MMOs out there all cannot compare to EVE's PVP/Economy. We are number #1. In EVE a 1 month old player can kill a 3yr old player if the circumstances are right. Is it likely? not really... but is it possible? Absolutely...
Give it more time and come back after 6months. In the meantime, keep training, play a few other games and don't get too worked up over this game. Trust me.

meh. I would say a 1/10 troll effort. but it seems that, after 4 pages, only one other person acknowledged that it was a troll.
so, i'd say, 1/10 for effort (because it was a poorly disguised troll)
4/10 for effectiveness (4 pages, after all)
i guess that leaves us at what, 2.5/10 if we do fancy averaging maths or something. although i fail at math, so someone will correct me i'm sure.
