I am considering going from focusing on hi-sec exploration to low-sec exploration. In hi-sec, I have focused on radar sites and combat signatures. Are these the most profitable in low-sec as well? Are anomalies worth running in low-sec, or are they too easy for gankers to camp? I am planning on using a cloaky scanning Tengu, and I do not want to have to dock and switch modules or ships due to the risks involved. Thanks. |

The risks of low sec are dramatically over-rated. Just focus on the Radars/unknowns and keep an eye out for trouble and I'm sure you'll be fine. Anomalies are perfectly fair game as well if the system isn't busy. |

To expand on this, the risks of docking really aren't that bad. I used to probe in a covert fit tengu and then when I found a site, I would bookmark it and dock to switch subsystems and gear. Most systems are quite empty and for those that aren't, dock in the stations that aren't likely to have people there. These include ones with less services (particularly lacking in medical) and non-Navy ones (i.e. industrial/bank ones). Also, check the market. If there is a station in that system with lots of stuff on the market, its probably a "hub" to some degree and you should steer clear of it. Just be smart and vigilant and you'll be fine.
As for sites, I do not touch radar sites in high sec simply because I feel my time is better spent finding combat sites.
In low sec there is a better reason to avoid them: they lack gates. Gates allow you to gauge if you need to GTFO. There were times when I would see combat probes on scanner but stay in the combat site. This is doable as you can simply change dscanner range to how far the previous room was (10k km usually).
In radars, you can be pinned down by combat probes rather easily and warped to and tackled. Acceleration gates in combat sites prevent this direct tackle.
Also, carry the tags that act as keys to some of them. For Minor Annex this is [Faction] Crystal. Its great to be able to blitz that first room and get on with the site. |

I am pretty new to low sec exploration. I will agree that the risks are overrated. You have to be on our toes more, and be smart. But otherwise it isn't bad.
You also have to be willing to walk away from a potential windfall when pirates arrive.
As for radars however I have honestly been a bit disappointed.
Low sec radars so far in my limited expience have been very frustrating. In high sec you will find a radar that has generally 2-4 hackable cans. Often these sites are completely undefended. So while they may not be hugely profitable they are really quick.
So far the low sec radars that I have found have more cans (up to 6). But they have all been much more heavily defended. Either spawns occur as soon as you hack a can, or get within a certain distance. You then have to clear the spawn before you can open the can.
So far the loot I have gotten from low sec radars are similar to the high sec ones. But with the spawns the time per can is much higher. That increased time also means more of an opportunity for someone to come scan you down and ruin the party.
Add to the fact that they instantly despawn when you warp out and I have found low sec radars to be sorta meh. |

Are mag sites worth doing at all? Also, is it worth the high slot for a salvager for faction wrecks? |

I haven't personally run many low sec mag sites. But if they are anything like high sec and wormhole mag sites they are barely worth the wasted salvager and analyzer slots |

I never bothered with either. Your time is best focused on combat sites IMO. |

I like to run them all in lowsec - i understand that it is mostly wasted time, but i lke to challenge the loot randomness. Best thing i got in low was 6x Cap Consoles and a T2 BPC, about 200m isk from a single site.
What Salazar suggests may be the most efficient way though. |

This is not entirely true. They will despawn within a minute or maybe two, but not instantly. If you can make bookmarks (for some outlying cans in certain sites for instance) you can warp out and back in perfectly fine, provided you go to the nearest celestial or a bookmark that you made close to the site. I have done this many times.
To add to the discussion about the radars being worth it or not in lowsec - Yes the payout is not really that much better and you are not that 'safe' - but in my experience you can usually just find more of them (depending on region and if other people do them of course), than in highsec. This is just my experience tho and the suggestion to ignore them and just go on looking for combat sites certainly has merit.

They despawn fast enough that if you have to warp out due to a hostile in system you will likely not get back in time, which was my main point.
For that I generally have an alt in a covert ops stay cloaked on grid for this purpose. |

I 'm doing exploration stite now for over 1 week (hunting radars in high sec) but i mostly find 1 radar in a hole region. Is that normal for high sec, so less radar sites! But i must say those that i found and looted got my over 40m isk. |

There are other explorers you know.

I disagree. Mnemo is right. Make a bookmark on your warp into the site that is not that far off. Should you need to warp out just for a second, you should be able to get back in time. |

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Having had several despawn on me I will stick with my cloaky alt plan.
Typically the only reason I warp off o f a lowsec radar is due to a hostile situation. I these cases it can be some time before the threat passes and I can safely return. |

Must admit I've always found it stupid that the site despawns as soon as you leave (and yes it despawns almost instantly for me)
I warp to a safe have waited ten secs for the neut to leave local then warp back in ,site gone. God Said "Come Forth and receive eternal life!"-á I came second and won a toaster. |

I was not referring to the situation where you have to 'wait out' some random person in the system. Yes it will be despawned by then. |

Well i try to use your wesite to see in wich spectrum radar will be found with a deep space scanner. But how can i find my acualy scan strengt, that you have to input in the website? And there 's still a big chance that you do'n t find the radar. Is there a spectrum where you can say "this strengt is radar" |

Open fittings. Click charge info on your launcher with Deep Space Probes loaded.\
As to your last question, the answer is no. If you are looking for radars in general though, DSP really aren't of much use to you as there are radars in almost every level of strength. If there is a specific radar you want, then they might be of some help.
There is no way to simply look for "radars" or "gravs" or "unknowns."
