The latest version of the biggest EVE-related iPhone app has now been approved by Apple. New in this version is the ability to view your wallet, market and industry activity. Also improved are asset viewing/searching performance and jump planner stability, along with the latest static data dump.

I'm a big huge fan of iClone since version 1.0. Ben Scott has out done himself with this new version.
iClone is simply the most feature packed mobile eve online app any platform. From java, to windows mobile to iPhone, no other mobile app can touch it's feature list. (does palm pre or google OS have mobile eve apps?) iClone destroys all mobile eve online apps in functionality and can give some dedicated websites a run for their money.
Mulitple account support Skill queue support Jump planner Players corp info with member list Wallet info Active industry/research jobs times **** plus many
Did I mention it's F R E E. And now that he's updated to GUI it looks pretty too. Great work, wonderful app. If u have iPhone/itouch you'll love it. I have been lobbying for a mobile app to have industry/research info for a while and this guy listened !!!!

Most versatile app available for your iphone.
Really nice to see all your assets (including peeking into containers such as ship cargoholds/shipfittings and other containers that you cannot search ingame), market and industry activity.
If it crashes file a bugreport or post on the forums (either here or on the iClone website under the support page)
There are some performance issues with grabbing all the API feeds it needs for showing you all you want from eve, but the OP is working on that by the looks of his replies on his forums.

I love the look of iClone and the functionality. However (like mentioned above) the speed of retrieving the API info needs to be worked on. It seems it is the same whether I am connected to WiFi or 3G.
Also, the app crashes whenever I try and access the wallet feature.
This app easily could be better than Capsuleer if some of the more annoying issues could be worked out. (Speed, crashes etc) -----------------------------------

Best way to make sure it only grabs api feeds when you want it is by setting the 'api update' to manual in the settings. (General Settings > iClone) I've already did some suggestions on changing the way the API feeds are retrieved and the OP has agreed something should change there.

It takes long for the wallet to load (like 2 minutes or so) so if you keep waiting it will load eventually. Bug has already been reported.

I have tested this and its very nice except when adding char's lol it takes awhile even in 3g to load everything the only thing i could say for an update right now is the fact of how slow it works when its loading if that could be smoothed out than this would be a 10 from me

Nice program. One thing though, I can't access my wallet, or inventory? Is that because I used a limited API?

That is correct, limited API doesn't allow you to pull assets and wallet. With the wallet function you need to have some patience as it needs some time to load (sometimes up to 2 min) bug has already been filed.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case, guess I will throw my full API in there and see whathappens.
Thanks

Thank you, Mr. Scott, for an unexpectedly powerful application. I've updated the iPhone tools directory on MiE to include iClone.

If you have iphone OS 3 on it I don't see any reason for it not to work.

Yes, it does - I've only recently jumped phone contracts and procured an iPhone, so until the most recent couple of updates it's been primarily developed/tested using a 1st generation iPod touch, and I'm not planning on dropping support for the old slow one.
Thanks for the feedback/bug reports/crash dump uploads via iTunes - all helpful in improving stability! Assuming I don't get too distracted with shiny things then next point release should address some of the performance issues people have mentioned. ________ iClone - an OS X and iPhone Skill Tracker Follow iClone on Twitter |

What does it say it does and doesn't do? And yeah there are some bugs, but just saying what you did doesn't help making it work, now does it?
You don't _have_ to use it, but some people find it very useful!
Originally by: Khadann Any plan to release it on Android (google mobile os) one day?
I wouldn't count on it, the platforms are very different, but I'm just me and am in no way associated with iClone except for some help in the form of bugreports.

Like the iPhone has a stable OS without bugs ;) In my old job had to transfer way to many people with iPhones over to Apple support with issue cause by bugs in the OS to think it's much better. -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API.

Edited by: Michael Corin on 04/02/2010 16:47:42 An Unstable OS? heh, try to tell that to someone who doesnt directly setup and support thousands of campus users with Iphones, RIM, and Win Mo phones. The Win Mo phones are the only ones that dont have issues, or crappy hardware. Im holding an iCrap right now that wont even open an app. and its not even unlocked (or jailbroke as the apple fanboys call it).
