Edited by: Elodeon on 12/10/2009 03:26:08 My wife has been playing Travian for more than a year.
I'm still a newbie at EVE, but so far, my impression is that Travian exceeds EVE in terms of how much it controls your life. (Then again - Travian eventually ends )
Yes, I've resented her for it. But I've come to understand why it's important for her.

My Ex-wife plays WOW, two accounts, max chars, the works.
I could never get her to play EvE.
Notice I said "EX" ?

My ex never really got into EVE, she spent most of the time complaining her character couldn't fly cool ships like mine (despite her telling me myIshtar looks awesome and her Vexor looks stupid) or scooping lost drones in high sec.
I'd consider a test for any of the women you may end up dating. Explain to her your typical alarm clock POS op and see if they'll still stay with you..
Or better yet, if you buy a lot of GTC/Plex, explain to her how much you spend and exactly what it gets you *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

Justin: if she won't game with you, then come to a compromise on your time together... or if you're sure it's going to be an issue until the end days, let her know you might not be the best person for her, and her for you. Easier said than done, I know, but finding someone who respects and possibly shares your interests makes life much more enjoyable.

Well, I have GF for last couple of months only, so EVE hasnt't really become an issue...YET :)
But I told her about it, that's just something I like doing, and I won't stop anytime soon. If she has problems with it.....tough for her! But i agree with what some1 above said: you must find time for both, heck, I WANT to find time for both!

Both my wife and my ex-gf before her referred to my eve time as "cheating on them".
My wife and joke that we're going to get call from school when our son is old enough about me cheating on her with EVE. That's just going to be fun.
The irony is neither of them mind/minded my eve time. The wife doesn't care as long as I still pull my weight with the kid and the house. The ex didn't mind because she was often no there. Even when she was she didn't mind because she was pre-med so yeah.
