It's a weird feeling when a company turns down your money.
Apparently, the card that I used to buy McD's this morning, and use to pay for a character transfer not more than a week ago, is fraudulent. The card that I hold in my hand. What the miff is this?
When I tried to buy two plexes less than an hourish ago, CCP was all, "Hey, you're a fraud!" And then my feelings hurt :[
Does anyone know of an official statement regarding this issue, or is CCP getting selective about whose money they'll accept?

Or the credit card company. I just heard something earlier today about a nefarious trick they pulled on some guy.

I had the same problem when I tried to buy plex from CCP directly, ended up buying from Evetimecodes instead. ---- --- ---

A friend of mine is having the same trouble - they denied his paypal account as well.
I don't appreciate the validity of my existence being questioned by a script.

It is a safety tool from your bank most likely. Think of how ****ed you would be if they didnt have it and your bank account was 0.
Personally I will take the minor annoyance.

What you are saying is that a thousand monkeys will do a better job at keeping people safe?
To the OP: whatever message you are seeing on CCP's page originates from the bank/credit card company. CCP cannot do anything about that, all they see is success/fail and if it's fail. You won't get a purchase, sad but true. If you would get a purchase without actually paying anything it would be really bad for CCP because you wouldn't be the only one getting it. Better safe than sorry!

I had the same problem, but I filed a petition and they cleared it up with my bank.

Friend of Stackley's here. Card worked fine going to another site, so it didn't appear to be the bank at fault. I'm only posting here cause I'm curious if there are others who had the same problem, and maybe there is something wrong with CCP's website somewhere.

So what you are saying is that even if the BANK blocked the payment to CCP and didn't block it to the "other site" it's CCP's fault? You know, just checking...
---
On the other hand, it's possible that it's CCP's fault but you have to remember that there are thousands of banks and credit card companies out there. CCP have to make sure each and every one of them work. It's easier for your bank to simply make it work after YOU tell them to than it is for CCP to contact your bank, asking them why the transaction was blocked. You are the customer of that BANK/credit card company. You have the right to force them to make the transaction.

You should file a petition in the 'Billing and Account' category. CCP is usually very helpful when people want to pay them money.
