Edited by: Gallente Citizen 5689 on 28/10/2004 13:26:32 Hi guys. before i start can i just say that i dont want this thread hijacked, i know that there are no safe 0.0 areas. Also with some good info and response, this can become a good thread for feedback for the thousands of other players who want to head into 0.0, but not face death before passing the chokehold gates. The title basically means regions well away from warzones, pirate corps, and maybe with a nice friendly alliance that lets us set up shop. We are starting an alliance, but it will be Non-Pvp , an alliance for the "little people" . We will undoubtedly come across pvp players, but we are not planning on starting wars, or joining any pre-existing alliance. Basically all the pirates and alliance members are saying that us "care-bears" need to get out into 0.0 , and with the situation of alliance wars all over the place, and massive gate ganking, we want as peaceful an area as we can find. So please, some constructive information would be fantastic, including regions, their current inhabitants, and whether they would mind 100 or so people using a few of their systems for non pvp purposes.
Also this char is an alt, before you say anything
edit : By they way we would prefer area's with some nice ore, and a friendly station not too far away :)

I'd try Pure Blind or parts of Syndicate, neither are claimed by alliances but you will find pirates there.

There is no peacful area in 0.0. Sorry but just face it. Without pvp u`ll be just ganked. Sometimes i think about providence but there is a lot of curse members and soul cartel. So nothing special. Maybe syndicate but there is no good places with good ore without pirates, or aliances. There is no safe 0.0. ________________________________________________

Edited by: Gallente Citizen 5689 on 28/10/2004 13:36:35 I guess you didnt understand what i said. i said the SAFEST, not a safe area. Thanks anyway.
edit : Also i said that there would undoubtedly be Pvp and while we are equipped with the means to defend vs pirates, and the occasional gankers, we are not equipped nor interested in a big corp war, where our entire alliance turns into non-stop combat.

Theres no 0.0 system that is SAFEST. Anything can happen. Just take your chances.

lol , well i spose we could set up in PF-346. seeing as no region or system is safer than the next. But hey now , that would be stupid. And why? Because of the traffic that runs through, the limited ore, the large pirate hangout, etc etc. PF is the only real system i have visited, and for our corps to travel through there with all of our stuff would be mass suicide, without some severe planning.

I think a good example of that would be the old CFS area. A month ago fairly quiet now look at it. Anyway depending on how quickly it settles in that area and who owns it that might be the best area to go to.

Edited by: Marcus Aurelius on 28/10/2004 14:00:47 Try Geminate, TPS claimes it but its about as empty as my granpa's n.utsack.
If not, go and setup in between fountain/cloud ring space and empire somewhere, pirates there but no serious alliances to get into wars with.
Still, if I was you I'd look to not starting an alliance but keeping your operations in 0.0 space mobile, small, and very low-key.

Pure Blind is probably your best bet. There can be a fair amount of traffic due to the several alliances using the EC-P8R route regularly, but it is reasonable calm these days. Or rather as calm as 0.0 can get.

Thanks for your responses guys. This is way harder than imagined, just to organise, then to drag 100 people along will be chaos, so we are thinking of maybe just joining an existing alliance as was mentioned above. Now the question is, who would allow somewhat 0.0 noobs into their alliance, basically for the purpose of mining, npc hunting, training for pvp, and ultimately but not immediately, joining in the PvP . The way it seems is that most alliances dont give a flying f**k about you unless you are a Pvp freak. We are not political or marred in any way, we just want to see for ourselves, why so many people take the plunge into 0.0 and dont return. Any info, or even invites would be appreciated greatly :)

Joining an alliance is the proberbly the safest way to 0.0, its not easy to get in to one tho, you need to show them that your corp can help the alliance and make it better in some way.

Hey man, I see your actually considering joining an existing alliance which is good. However Im thinking youre not actually realizing the three main truths about 0.0. space. Truth # 1: In 0.0.space your going to have to PVP almost immediately(no avoiding it) and most people aren't willing to wait till you feel "ready" for it. Take it from someone who had to take the crash and burn course. The only way to get good at it is to do it. If you can hunt NPC you can PVP.(I know I oversimplified it dont kill me). Remember this fly what you can use and afford to lose.(hey that rhymes)
Truth #2 is that politics always get involved. Let me say this again.. politics always get involved. Sometimes internal politics are much worse than external. Even the people who publicly state we dont do politics are usually doing more politics than most.(although more behind the scenes).
Truth #3 and usually the backbreaker in alliances is that if your alliance doesn't have a common goals/ purpose you are doomed for failure(also helps to actually like each other but not a requirement). If you look at the cluster **** thats happening down south you will see what happens when you get a group of people into a disorganized mess not devoted to common goals. Corps either dont help, run, or worst make deals with the enemy. Just one bad corp in a group can ruin everything. I recommend before you proceed anywhere, even if its just joining an alliance that you make sure the people with you and the people you are joining are dedicated for the long haul and have common goals. Corp wars, Pirating(or suprise pvp'ing), Treaty making and treaty breaking are all part of the experience.
Once you realize these truths and get into 0.0. you will find out what most 0.0 players know. Empire is for selling stuff and mod buying. The Real EVE experience is in 0.0. Once your free its hard to go back into slavery.
Good Luck
