Posted - 2009.10.12 17:25:00 - [71] Edited by: Eli Porter on 12/10/2009 17:25:56 To clear up some stuff and to set the background for this hopefully new great war: A quick recap of Cloud Ring history from my perspective Dara Cothrom, the owner of Cloud Ring at the time, gets too much heat from some alliances trying to take over CR. They ask for help from a Pure Blind inhabitant that was causing trouble for IRON at the time, named Avarice, along with Mostly Harmless, and Guardian Federation. PL still had their moons at that time. Avarice, with the help of G-Fed and MH, takes over the southern part of Cloud Ring. Shortly after, Ev0ke shows interest in the area and gains a foothold in Avarice's sov. Avarice's leadership gets tired of the constant sov warfare and merges with Mostly Harmless together with Dara Cothrom. With the new MH not doing anything about Ev0ke's Foothold(Partially due to the war over Venal the NC was engaging), Ev0ke, together with Huzzah Federation slowly gains momentum in southern cloud ring with the help of other entities like Cry Havoc, and even Atlas and AAA at one time when the NC blob got too big for them to handle by themselves. Meanwhile, the holder of Pure Blind at the time, IRON, failcascades, leaving most of PB to MH. MH gets even fatter with space later on with the Eviction of G-Fed. Ev0ke keeps up the fight against MH when TCF steps in to help, and Ev0ke is pushed back a bit, but pulling off some impressive victories against TCF+MH with the help of SoT and Cry Havoc in some instances. Ev0ke gets really big by this time and is able to match TCF or MH in numbers, and the momentum shifts when TCF and MH lose their steam. Defi4nt, Deklein inhabitants at the time, get called to help TCF+MH against Ev0ke+SoT+CH and are essentially given the best station system in Cloud Ring by MH and TCF in exchange. This decision fails to help MH+TCF the edge they may have wanted from this deal. Shortly after, PL, who is getting bored, decides to deploy to Pure Blind and destroy MH assets. The NC, after a failed deployment in the south, steps in and the blob wars ensue. PL gets good results from their deployment, killing a whole lot of NC caps and important moons with great efficiency. Blobs keep raking in more people up till now, when nearly the entire NC is involved, and hopefully more destruction will ensue and no ****y peace deals will be made.

NC (This includes Razor, Morhus Mihi, TCF, MH, Defiant, and the Council): 10,000+ Members, 9000 if razor isn't actually involved. Non-NC (PL, SOT if they're involved, Evoke, Cry Havoc): 4000 Members. 3000 if SOT isn't in the fight, i honestly haven't paid enough attention. If the NC is complaining about being blobbed, then they seriously have to cut some of the fat from their membership. For ****s sake, the only time you see over 100-man fleets out of the NC is if at least 3 of the alliances are involved, while PL and Evoke are each pumping out 100-man fleets alone. No wonder the NC isn't winning, 98% of their guys aren't even fighting at all. (not an exaggeration. assuming a 200-man fleet on average, out of the 9000 or 10000 the NC have, that's only around 2%, MAYBE 3%, of their guys in the fleets.) A soft word turneth away wrath. While its back is turned, shoot it in the head.
