It's the battlecruiser equivalent to the Dominix GÇö the most versatile battleship in the game. This makes the Myrm the most versatile battlecruiser in the game. This means you can fit it in roughly eighy bazillion different ways, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. None of them is GÇ£rightGÇ£ and none of them are GÇ£wrongGÇ¥ (unless you choose a fit without any drones GÇö that's just bad and wrongGǪ and stupid).

i actually fly myrm, i know how to fit a myrm, i use a rail dual rep myrm (used artys -> higher defence though not needed) for PvE and will use a triple or dual rep AC myrm for pvp.
still no one seems to get the point made.
both of those fits are the best possible fits of the described circumstances.
better blasters require too much pg to fit them on the myrm with a dual rep setup.
i tried to make them as equal as possible and then shield/AC just exceld in almost every aspect.
btw shield tanked myrm will also excel in long range PvE because a shield tank has a lot more spare lows to fit drone damage augmentors and weapon damage augmentors.
one of the points is: the new drone module favors shield tanked ships for pve when the signature drone race is associated with armor tanks and thats the reason gila and rattlesnake are the best PvE droneboats around
its just that the game misleads new players into things it really shouldnt have to.
i just wanted to point out a flawed game design. |

PvE or PvP makes no difference. That's just how damage mods work.

Sure, the Gila has slightly higher EM resists with that bonusGǪ until you remember that you can armour-tank the Ishtar since it's so versatile, at which point it tanks EM better as well (especially since it pretty much always comes in tandem with therma, which is part of the Ishtar's T2 bonus resist profile).
