* Which test you were in: (ex. March 6 @ 19:00)
2009 October 29th ended at about 21:00 GMT (15:00 EDT)
* OS version (XP, Vista 64bit, OS X, Linux - Fedora, etc.)
Vista 32bit
* CPU (ex. AMD X2 6000+, Intel E6400, etc)
Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5Ghz
* GPU (ex. ATI 2950, Nvidia 8800, etc)
Nvidia 9800M GT
* RAM (ex. 2GB, 4GB, etc.)
4GB
* Average FPS during the test(s)
13 in the station, 10 floating in space, 5-7 during the fleet battle and POS bash.
* Did you have Audio enabled?
Yes, but had speakers off.
* Did you have brackets turned on?
What are brackets? whatever the default is
* Did you use 'optimize settings'? If so, which one did you use?
Maximum settings, everything on high, windowed, 1920 x 1080
* On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same as TQ, 10=OMG this is awesome)
rating of 3. I usually have to run 2 to 3 clients (depending on location populations and other running aps) on TQ to simulate the same performance degradation that I had during the test. Though task manger only said I was utilizing 2GB of memory and 30% CPU. Riva Tuner said my video card temperature was only orange, about 79 Degrees C.
* Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.
There were a lot of ships, a lot of things flying through space, a lod of HD bloom! It didn't seem like my pc as a whole was actually overtasked, just that the game was running slow with all the stuff going on. I'm not sure if it was actual lag (i.e. packet latency where If I clicked a command it would take a while to execute) or just FPS (and being in a slow BS already)
1 bug, not sure if it had been mentioned here or somehwere else, whenver I log on in a station I cannot see the ship I'm in. I either have to undock or leave the ship. the zoom is still correctly scaled for the ship I'm in though.
1 feature change/question... In the TQ client, if I wanted to take screen shots without clutter, targeting hud, shield, armor, structure hp, windows, etc. I would hit ctrl tab and it would hide all those things. Now it brings up a menu and I have to choose what to hide and if I choose all it still doesn't get rid of the target, and the HUD items (HP, cap, modules, the options on the left etc.) I'm hoping that if this is intended that there is another quick easy way to hid all the junk for beautiful screenshots or just an option to take screenshots without any interface clutter.
Thanks for the opportunity, SISI has been an invaluable resource.
