This really has to go... it's an awful idea.
Maybe it can stay for creating topics, but for replying to topics... yeach.
Maybe replying in the SAME topic... you people at CCP have a point there... edit is useful and highly underrated by many users. But replying to multiple topics, and having to wait 5 minutes in between... makes my want to smash my head against the keyboard.
In fact, many of the helpful posts I have been trying to post in the New Players forum have died to the cancel button because of this posting limit.

So you like the account hackers?
It has been said by CCP to be the current temporary solution until they figure a way to prevent the massive all board posting of account hacking links.

Then they'll be spamming existing topics with unrelated spam posts.
People were losing accounts over this stuff. You would like them to allow trojan-spam threads which cause even more account chaos so that you can post more than a dozen times per hour? Stop whining.

People lost their accounts because they mindlessly clicked links with promisses of hot babes on satelite-images. Posted on a gaming site in random topics... I seriously thought EVE was a more intelligent game than WoW, but maybe I have overestimated the average maturity of the EVE-playerbase.
My bad... it is a good thing CCP protects us from our own stupidity. In fact increase the posting timers to two and a half hour. Only post when you have something really worth mentioning (unlike this post).
Also increase the "Recycle Character to Biomass" timer to 7 days... too many people have done something really stupid when they were drunk.

Maturity and responsibility.
