moo or some pirate corporation like them will always be in EVE. There is a niche for this type of PvP killing and it will be filled. However, blockading a serious chokepoint in 0.4 space should not be part of this niche. Pirate corps should be forced to live in 0.0 and have to move around in any space with a security level higher than that. The sec rating should simply reflect how long it takes for the police to get to you. I think the police should have made it to Passari by now.

Passari is .4
Police do not patrol or respond in .4 systems.
Get over it.
Obviously the caldari Empire do not feel that the area is worth protecting, else it would be .5 or above.
Maybe CCP will raise the sec status to force us out, but until they do you are just gonna have to learn to live with the tolls. Pay up or die or go around. _____ m0o

That's what I like about mOo you have the "pay" option. So many of these JERK pirates, dont OFFER the "pay" option, and just blow you up then say "1 mil for your pod or your dead" that's when I say a lot of nice things about him and his dog, and how he should go have fun... ... >:) my clone cost 250k, I dont think 1mil is a getaway, and I dont think he would have LET me get away, even if I "DID" pay him. _________________________ Trolling is bad. I wouldn't even mind if they did it once in awhile. But to sit right in the middle of empire space days on end?

I thought Passari was a 0.6 system? Ah well if its 0.4 then that explains the lack of navy response.
Look people are going to have to deal with pirate blockades.
You can do it by the following:
a) place huge bounties on each pirate in the clan. b) Blockade their bases of supply! (this only works if they can't dock in Passari or the like) c) do the Cape of Good Hope method and go the long way around. d) use fast blockade runners to get thru (Impossible with lag apparantly although some have done it) e) hunt them down when they are alone and isolated. be a Clint Eastwood lone warrior type if you like. I've seen it done in Freelancer. f) Muster assistance from other corporations and form an alliance dedicated to breaking the blockade. g) try to draw enemy ships off the line with fast nimble ships with high ECM and countermeasures to lure them into an ambush. h) pay them off. i) if you're a newbie stay away from systems 0.6 and below. It's common sense!! j) If your corp isn't tough enough then don't engage but evade and move elsewhere on the map. Use fast ships to monitor the movements of the pirates and move your trade ships to safer locations. Let someone else be the prey.

Sadly almost all of those things will not work against Moo, save going around or avoiding them. Trust me, everything on that list has been tried.

<< I wouldn't even mind if they did it once in awhile. But to sit right in the middle of empire space days on end? >>
See, now I think most people have a different perspective than I do. They view space in this game as some pinnacle of civilization.
I view it more like the Old West. Where justice from the law was swift and decisive when a crime occured directly under the observation of the sherrif or marshal. But most incidents were actually taken care of by the citizens themselves.
Contrary to the fantasy that Hollywood spins, the Old West wasn't anywhere near as lawless. And it had a lot less to do with the local sherrif and more to do with the citizens. Most citizens were armed. And having recently been a participant in a civil war, were well schooled in the use of those weapons.
People keep viewing the 'empires' in this game as some omnipotent entity. Amazingly enough an omnipotent entity whose power suddenly terminates at the border of their space. But inside their borders, they are supposed to be everywhere at all times? Protecting a population fully capable of arming themselves?
Nah...I like the Old West perception better. In town, sherrif was law. Outside, Colt was law. I suggest people start picking up a few Colts...

I have to agree, when you're exiting warp at 3km/s even Moo can't do much =P
The problem is loading up all those containers that moo so carelessly, but certainly not purposely, leaves laying around.

errm!! Mo0 generally dont give you the pay option, I lost a ship to Eze & Lord Zap awhile ago. No pay or die, just fired.
Yesterday a member of my corp lost a ship and was podded by Gauss. No pay or die, just fired.
Mo0 are cheating scum and should have their accounts cancelled

I think mOo has a few enemies it does announce pubically, and then pod kills them on sight! (I do too) does that mean I'm a greifer? no that just means you ****ed me off sometime down the road! I have had a freind, go past mOo (in passari) 4 or 5 times, without getting killed... guess what? he PAID. _________________________ Trolling is bad. Please dont do it. -rei |

I see it this way ... corporations like m0o and others just add a little spice into this game. Hence ... why do you complaining ppl (although I understand some of your points) think half of the forum is about m0o? Cause, whether they use exploits or not (havenŠt seen any m0o member in action so I wonŠt judge) they surely do benefit the game in some ways ... even if they WERE joining ranks with TTI or not or whatever, itŠs just exciting and interesting to behold what is going on (from a safe angle of course lol). And well ... any pirate in this game is paying his monthly fee as well as the rest of us "pirate-haters" do so anyone playing this game should be able to do whatever he/she wants to. Although well ... the reason for loving the combat system in EVE so much that I wouldnŠt do almost nothing else escapes me ... still IŠm saying if this game would be only about mining and trading, it would lose players in no time IŠm very, very sure. It is the freedom of choice that makes EVE so cool ... and well letŠs face it, losing a ship in this game is a matter of routine .. it just happens occasionally. And being podded, although it didnŠt happen to me so far, is obviously a pretty common thing to happen as well. Get used to it. With a decent clone and a decent corp, youŠll get back what you lost in no time. And ... most importantly ... itŠs just a game. ____________________________________
