To be the new BoB, you would have to wage war with the whole universe without fear of the consequences. PL and Goons are pussies in that regard. They have not started any major long termn campaigns on their own since the fall of BoB, and I doubt they will as long as they can milk their Moons and play pocketbillard with their balls.

Just wait till the new titans changes come out, They will have to fight to fiddle with there balls in public.

IT alliance is the new bob...but there is no ONE alliance anymore that was on scale with the old bob.
but its pretty much shared now. Goons, AAA, Atlas, Razor, Morsus Mihi and PL, im not sure why people always ignore MM and Razor they are one of those most successful coalitions/alliances around..

Definately goons but they like it that way. They've always wanted to be BoB. They just have different motives. BoB did it for epeen, goons goal is to make everyone unhappy so they can lol about it.

It shows how much you know about EVE if you think Goons would ever be a new BoB....
BoB were, I heavily mean WERE the best alliance in EVE, they were miles ahead of competition with regards to EVE experience, isk and general dedication. They crushed alliances with skill, but mainly through determination. Call me a fanboi (Im ex razor now) but they were without doubt the best alliance in game. That was in 2004-2007 (I say 2004 because essentially the main BoB players have been playing EVE since 2003 and always knew each other)
Eventually boredom of EVE and its stagnant POS warfare, and just generally playing the same game for 4+ years bored most of the old BoB pilots quit EVE. I could list actual names of players but essentially a number their main FC's all quit over the same 6month period for other games
The closest thing to BoB now is DEFINATELY Pandemic Legion, they have without a doubt some of the better FC's currently playing eve
PL are made up of some dedicated old skool EVE players and as such they are attracting good pilots, The recent 'defeat' of BoB was down to one alliance and that was PL, they FC'd almost every fight for Goons and alone Goons would have been back in Empire. NC are a masssive force, if PL were not calling the shots then Imperian or another NC FC was.
This is catergorically sound in fact that if Goons did not have PL with them Delve would still be being fought over. Many people will say 'BoB had GBC so its the same as Goons having PL' ......this is idotic. EVERY battle was FC'd and lead by BoB pilots, almost NO battles were FC'd by Goon pilots.
Goons pulled the plug on BoB and that is partly hilarious and partly very sad. Goons are very good at diplomacy and hacking forums, they are amusing on the forums but to liken them to BoB is stupid
NC corps dont roll anything like BoB, MM is by far the best alliance in NC and
RZR is definately a sweet alliance but again, have a mix of goals. BoBs goal was constant PVP and generally an elitist attitude, which cost them in the end but they were feared, the only alliance creating that fear right now is PL.
In my order it goes:
1. PL
2. AAA
3. MM
4. Atlas
5. RZR
6. Tri (if they are still around)
7. Goons
There will NEVER be a new BoB, but IT will make headlines in Dominion Im sure due to being nearly all the old BoB corps and say what you will, they still have some of the better EVE players
Goons are closest to BoB in the fact they control vast areas of space but this is where any similarity ends.
