What's wrong? EVE has been GMT/UTC all the time, hasn't it? As far as I know you have GMT+1 in the summer if you live on that slice of the world.

Normally at this time of year, we get a heap of threads on the forums asking about downtimes moving because of daylight savings due to people not realising that the servers are on GMT time, and thus, do not have daylight savings.
BTW, it was +1 hour for us down the bottom end of the planet. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

Problem with the thread is that it's mostly Brits who think they are on GMT which is a perfectly reasonable error as GMT is acronym for Greenwich Mean Time. The Problem is that they should now be on EVE time (GMT).
I don't even know if there is a country that is in the -1 timezone and has daylight saving that should now have gone out of sync with GMT.
Bah I'm sure we'll see some threads nonetheless __________ Capacitor research |

To clear things up a little, GMT+1 in the UK is actually referred to as British Summer Time (BST or more generally just 'summer time'). Most of us here in blighty would prefer to stay in 'summer time' mostly to avoid the dark evenings, and being 'right on' the Meridian line can have it's drawbacks as Dust Puppy points out. I guess the significance of BST is never really drummed into us Brits as kids because 'summer time' tends to be more subjective and not directly associated with an actual historical landmark like the Greenwich Observatory and its maritime connections.
'did you know' - I can see the Meridian line from my flat in Docklands? I thought not It's interpreted as a green laser light projected from the top of Greenwich park and on a clear night it can be seen for miles.
