Edited by: Sergeant Justice on 21/10/2009 18:33:20 In accordance to my latest post, I am curious as to if this fit is doable for, well, anything.
It was fitted with the following: [Rifter, full t1] Small Armor Repairer I 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Damage Control I
Warp Scrambler I Stasis Webifier I 1MN Afterburner I
125mm Gatling AutoCannon I, EMP S 125mm Gatling AutoCannon I, EMP S 125mm Gatling AutoCannon I, EMP S [empty high slot](Nos or neut)
Cheapest I could figure out (I am poor). Viable for anything?

That's a fairly start tech one fit rifter. To start it's fine, but you want tech two:
-guns -damage control -small armor repairer
In that order. Also, are 125mms really the largest you can fit to that? You should be able to get 150s (at least) If not, work on your fitting skills

Thank you, but that was what I was basically hoping for.

Thank you, yes I belive I can fit the 150's. But I heard I can hit ANYTHING with these, but I guess 150's wouldn't change that in any grand way.
I will try this on and see what happens.
Thanks for the headsup.

So you are asking if your fitting is a crime against the society or something?
Btw, you can get it much cheaper. Drop the plate, add resist and you might as well drop the repairer also.
When I think of it you should load your high slots with small smart bombs, keep the mids and load the lows with + capacitor. Cant go wrong!

Haha, yes, I was hoping the veteran Crowd of this game lurking in the shadows of the forum could help me if this fit could, indeed, help me commit crime or if I deserve punishment for fitting a rifter with such criminal deficiency. I just found this space. And now I will use it to portray various graphic messages...verbally. Sooner or later. |

Cheap pew pew rifter;
[Rifter, YARR] Damage Control I Inertia Stabilizers I 200mm Reinforced Steel Plates I

150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon I, EMP S Rocket Launcher I, Phalanx Rocket

setup is decent and close to cookiecutter. To lower cost you could switch to a crystaline plate instead of the more expensive rolled tungsten, almost as good but a lot cheaper.
Also switch to a j5b or faint scram, gives you more range while being dirt cheap.

To be honest I generally recommend against fitting physical buffer with a repper. You're better off dropping either the plate or the repper for an ENAM.

Edited by: Raelyf on 22/10/2009 12:38:10 The problem with EVE-O is everyone has an opinion, and most of them are dumb.
How you fit your rifter depends entirely on what you're planning to do with it. You won't find a rifter that's simply 'the best'.
For 90% of cases though, I'd use almost exactly the fit you've got: lows: small armor rep/damage control/200mm plate mids: 1mn ab/web/scram highs: 3x150mm autos/small nos
If your new and poor, you'll want to keep it mostly t1. Cheap named items (j5b scram, cold gas thruster ab, ect) may be used for a little bit of extra isk - i'd definitely recommend at least those two. T2 guns are costly but add range and therefor potential targets and are probably worth your while.
As a rookie in this ship, any other frig is your target. Well fit/skilled punishers or incrusus might give you a hard time - but your cheaply fit so what the hell right? You can also potentially kill some cruisers - but avoid vexors ruptures and arbitrators unless you've got a suicide wish.
Once you get t2 guns, incursus' should no longer be a problem. Typically, you'll find getting close to them leads to you being face melted - they do MUCH more damage, but, skills being equal, you'll be faster. Hold him at 7.5-8km and bring him down with barrage.
You can make some pretty significant variations to this depending on your role. In a gang, you could swap the rep for a gyro if you'd rather the dps - or maybe the scram for a long point and the ab for an mwd if you're needed as tackle. With an MWD, short point and web, you've got a very real chance of killing interceptors who come in thinking your easy prey - but it will take some experience and probably overloading before you can reliably catch them before they settle into an orbit.
