ok. so pretty much i just want to talk about the plex in deltole system called the skeleton commit or whatever... well the serpentis room is bugged beyond belief... i make it in both the first room of the skeleton commit and the drone room. but last night when i tried to go into the serpentis room. soon as i dropped from warp my comp when bonkers and i wasnt able to do anything but litterally turn off my comp because it was stuck at 100% cpu usage .... and when i log back on i apperently lost my loki.... and yea i understand not a big deal to most people but i had it fairly fitted out and i am in love with the damn thing.... and apperently it isnt a VIABLE or PROVEN to be known but... yet i see forum threads about people getting there client crash or not being able to do anything once they click "use acceleration gate" on this room of the cosmos plex.... and wouldnt that mean its a proven and known bug if you MUST have your graphics setting to high.. every single one of them... and i personally cant run this especially if i am going into a plex with 100's of wrecks and ships. and it doesnt work if you have low settings? ... yes i know there is many threads like this ... and about this same plex.... i just want to see peoples feelings on about this not being a viable bug or known bug.. or if it is a "bug".. and maybe other people can link this thread with all its replies to ccp if they lose there ship to this plex because there computer crashes trying to get into this infernal room -_-

Holy wall of text!
Sad to hear you lost you loki, it is not up to us to mark things as bugs. If ccp has not said it is, then it's kinda in limbo. I would however petition, the stars might have aligned in the right positions for you to be lucky.

oh i have petitiond and because its not a (server side bug) its not a bug? it is clearly a graphics bug... and i would think would be a pretty major bug if ccp cant see its there but anyone that doesnt have graphics to high ... and i would think that actually is a good amount...will experiance this game crashing experiance... ...aka a bug ccp cant see but we cant so it doesnt exist... -_-

1. Petition it. 2. Get the GM/CCP's opinion of bug or not. In the end, it's their opinion that matters. 3. Use paragraphs, or at least that enter key once and a while. 4. ??? 5. Profit!

A bit late now ... but this thread had a fix that worked for me ... Applies to all COSMOS plex Hacking rooms I think, and if is still not fixed then I suggest punching CCP in the nose :) .

Haven't done that plex, but for a while now, I have had computer lockups in some L5's and sleeper sites. Using two windowed clients, one with max graphics, one with the fancy turned off.
Scrolling one or both clients all the way out, seems to alleviate the problem somewhat.
Note that this was never an issue before autumn, so it's not just a "crappy computer", since it's the same comp.

Yeh like someone previous said petition and use paragraphs.
I got my Raven Navy Issue back after a GUI bug.
1) Give a brief description of what happened. 2) Use paragraphs 3) Go on to describe the process and build up to the event 3) Describe what happened whilst you were suffering such "100% usage", "Freeze", e.g you were still able to see certain things highlight when your mouse hovered over etc. 4) Describe what happened after your ship popped (I guess you can't do that but also explain it). I went into detail about my interface was still locked up for about a minute and yet I could see my pod floating in the middle of my wreck. Include the kill mail in which your ship was popped (don't go editing it and putting Pith X X-Large Shield Boosters in... I'm sure they'll notice something was up when you have your med slots full of modules worth 2bil each. 5) Describe any other bugs or unusual experiences during or after. 6) Give a brief complaint which isnt too strong, stating you dont believe its fair that a paying customer should suffer and lose months of work due to a bug in a product you have purchased, you believe you are entitled to compensation. 7) List your computer specs. CPU/GPU/RAM/HDD/Audio/Model 8) List your game settings. High/Med/Low or Custom and list what was enabled. 9) Finally give another paragraph about how you believe it wasnt your fault and how you believe it is fair for them to give compensation to your loss and return your ship and destroyed modules. Also state that you understand the workload they are under but would appreciate a prompt reply.
Optional If they haven't responded within a reasonable amount of time if you are a member (which you are). I Would say 2-3 days is reasonable then give a second message to your petition.
10) Start your second message 11) State you are unhappy with the time that has passed without response 12) State you are aware that they are under a lot of work and therefore there is a reason behind their slow response 13) State you find it unfair though that you still suffer due to such bug and hope they can solve this issue as soon as possible 14) Thank them for their work
Finally
You MUST use paragraphs, Sentences and Grammar correctly, you must also use proper English.
The workload they are under is quite big and for them to get tons and tons of messages from noobs who have no sentence structure and which they need to decipher their message to find something slightly understandable is annoying. For you to construct your petition carefully and considerately will win gold stars for you.
You must also keep it clean, there is no way you can accuse them of anything you should not slate CCP/GM or anyone involved.
Finally, Keep your cool... If they reject it, you may try again but make sure you proof read your sentence.

slightly off topic, but anyone who follows mastiff's advice deserves to be podded til they have no skillpoints left.
file just 1 petition and wait for the response. do not send multiple petitions.
that said, when ever you go to plexing anything, go in pod first or possibly a frig to figure out the plex. then return in ship.

The PC is failing. Either unstable OS/drivers or the hardware is overheating or becoming unreliable under full load.
Eve is hugely CPU heavy. If your PC can't run solid 100% CPU then it's time to sort it out.

Perhaps if they actually fixed some of the stuff, that workload would be a little less

This guy has it right. Set the textures and shaders to high. I ran into the same problem with a pirate L4 worlds collide. |

Speedy is right.
This plex is particularly laggy. I have a 1 Gb ATI 1550 video card running in the recommended "performance" mode, 4 Gb RAM and a 3.5 Ghz P4 and I can do all sorts of stuff in Eve and not get lag... until HACKING is involved.
I suspect some problem with the hacking containers.
While the general consensus is to reduce shaders and shadows and filtering, I am not sure it is a graphics issue.
I have seen more lag since Apocrypha 1.2 but its just a little like maybe ten percent more, but that Contested Gallente Skeleton Comet Complex is BORKED beyond all reason.
Usually its the best plex in the game for soloers. (In a game that is so unfriendly to soloers, we solo players treasure any crumb we get!)
Please fix the design. Maybe take out some of the graphical garbage (Do we really need 300 damn cans, rats and structures in this part of the plex???)
It looks like a design issue to me.

Either your PC is locking up or it isn't. If not then you've misled us. If it is locking up is then the complex stutters are irrelevant.
Eve stuttering is normal. That's Eve down to a T. Yes, it's bad coding and has been the subject of many a forum thread but, no, it doesn't cause total lockups crashes where a computer reboot is required.
Which are you talking about?

And display stuttering has nothing at all to do with lag. Stutter is purely a client side coding issue.
