On a plus point I killed my 10th Crusader Battleship in completion of the terms of the duel I lost to Frank Monkey a couple of months ago and can now speak freely on the IGS once more.
With regard to the fight - it was a risk obviously and as we later discovered Garst's agents had infiltrated the "secure" combined intel channel we were using to communicate with our allies thus setting up the trap. We attacked the No.Mercy group knowing they were shielded by half a dozen logistics ships and utilizing ours Carriers to partially offset the 40 to 10 numerical disadvantage at the beginning of the fight.
Garst managed a decent pincer entrapment however and brought in the Caldari Militia to turn the tables and ultimately the SF carrier group went down to the combined forces of the 24h Crusade and their Caldari allies en mass in an initial disparity of about 10-1. We found ourselves unable to overcome the estimated 13 logistics ships on the field and resolved to fight to the last unwilling to quit the field while any of our vessels remained trapped by the enemy.
My ship the -JFS- Tarrantula went down fighting and I was pleased to see Baruc's Ishtar Class Heavy Assault ship explode shortly before my hull breached despite the presence of so many logistics ships on the field around me.
I guess one can only assume he's not that popular!
Anyway see you on the battlefield. This day goes to the combined forces of the Caldari and Amarr nations. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Originally by: Garst Tyrell Baruc is pretty important I agree, worthy of trading a carrier for.
Hardly but it was quite amusing seeing your 13 allied logistics ships ignoring him as he bleated for help under my fighter drones
Anyway cheer up Garst, you won a fight! Don't be so sour.

Originally by: SuiJuris Apparently 5 Guardians + 4 Basilisk = 13 Logistics ships. No wonder they call defeats victories and think trading 5 carriers for 1 HAC 2 Battleships and assorted other stuffs is a victory they can't do simple addition.
We clearly lost. You clearly won. Like you say you didn't have unified coms so you obviously miscounted how many ships you had but so what?
All that matters is that today, few stood against many.
Today we lost. But it took the combined might of two nations to achieve that defeat. Time will tell if "Fortress Kamela" is truly breached and we'll see if No.Mercy have regained the confidence to travel in heavy-hulled ships through the warzone again.

I'd say a celebration is in order. Anyone care to suggest a time and place?
I'm guessing ... docked in a station in Ohide.

Originally by: Jeff Anderson No matter what excuse SF uses for the loss, the reality is the Amarr Faction War camp is sick of SF wardecing random faction war corps and picking them off from our fleets.
Who is making excuses? We lost.
Quote: Today we spoke loud and clear, if you want to interfere with our fleets, our fleets will fight back.
Does this mean you are actually going to attack us in lowsec again more regularly then? Or only when you have the Caldari holding your hands?

Originally by: Baruc Yes you did, so get off your "high horse" already. YOU are the weakest link
Then I guess this means your battleship fleet will be prepared to leave dock range in Hisec Ohide then this week? I'll look forward to that. You've dealt us a deadly blow - would be a shame if you couldn't manage to take advantage and advance on "fortress" kamela. We're on the back foot now - you need to up the pressure.
I promise you Baruc - when you manage to bring decisive pressure and suppress our operations in Kamela round the clock you'll hear me praise your efforts. You have all the advantages now - our heads are down and the Freespacer cause stands in peril. Must be time to strike -surely?

Originally by: SuiJuris Why would we bother spending the time or effort to "suppress" you guys round the clock,
Maybe the same reason your mouthpiece Garst needed to summon the entirety of the Caldari and Amarrian militias to fight 10 Star Fraction pilots this evening and declare a great victory over "Fortress Kamela".
You can't in one voice declare what utter cataclysmic shattering triumph you achieved in (and I directly quote your leader here) "BREACHING FORTRESS KAMELA" and then in the next say you didn't want to fly battleships anywhere within 10 jumps of our forces during the rest of the week.
Every time we've fought - (win or lose I hasten to add) it ends up with No.Mercy hiding in Ohide hisec. Isn't it about time you made a serious effort to make good on your boasts and actually attempt to drive us from the lowsec capital system of the 24th Crusade?
Flitting through the system in Interceptors isn't convincing.

Originally by: SuiJuris Sure we could go blow your pos up, but its a big fat waste of time. It would cost you next to nothing and you would have another one anchored within hours of it being destroyed. All in all it would take you less time to anchor a new one and less money to buy a new one then the amount of money we would spend on amunition.
Well I suppose you need to rationalize failure. But to be honest what fleet you brought on us today should be capable of removing a single lowsec POS. If you are serious about "breaching the fortress of Kamela" you need to be playing on removing such things. We've destroyed several nationalist outposts of this type - sure it takes effort but ultimately its a test of commitment really. If you lack the ability to actually "breach the fortress of kamela" after the giant victory you achieved today this will be quite a sad thing.
Quote: The other day after you lost 3 battleships and killed nothing. I left and was cruising around Faction Warfare space in a Battlecruiser while jade undocked and proceeded to talk about only trading 3 ships for space suppiority or some crap like that. While most of our corp was out and about in the FW arena doing as they pleased. We had a good laugh in corp chat at his expense though.
Yeah that was another occassion you won a battle in space yet lacked the leadership to followup and take advantage of the initiative. It was something we wondered at ourselves - you destroyed three battleships and halved our force then you immediately docked out and hid in the station in Ohide. It was pretty strange. But I'm sure you know what you are doing.

Originally by: SuiJuris Jasmine, we didn't win and then cower, WE won, and then those of us who wanted to left the system and did other stuff. While you proceeded to proclaim victory and dock camp a empty station
Remind me to take a picture of you hiding in there next time

Originally by: SuiJuris You guys really should try to accomplish something sometime.
You mean besides forcing your CEO to rouse the entirety of two militias to fight ten of our pilots? If we were as poor as you say I expect you'd have little trouble achieving your stated intentions of driving us from Kamela.

Anyway SuiJuris - enough talk from you, I'll see you on the battlefield (or not) - hopefully in those fleeting heavy hulls you keep telling us about and perhaps you'll even come beyond dock range in Amarrian hisec this time.
