I've recently been thinking about returning to faction warfare. Think it's time to take a break from 0.0 politics and other responsibilities. Being a old school pvper and part-time role player. I'll either be joining the Amarr or Caldari milltia. I'm hoping to get some feed back on the current state of these 2 millitia.
You know! Current difficulties or issues. What corporations or alliance are the most effective (ranked) etc. |

The Ammar need people the most. Caldari will always welcome more people but we don't really need more. So if you want pew pew then Ammar is likely best choice. I do not live on the Minny/Ammar front so my knowledge is limited there.
Caldari and Gallente is shifting a bit atm as many Gallente have changed to Minmatar to carebear - opps I mean farm LP - opps I mean run plexes and get the higher tier Minmatar LP Discounts. So I expect a slight power shift over the next week or so in this area of low sec - have to see how it pans out.
Oh yeah - Gallente evacuated OICX over the weekend. :)

FW - Inferno is better, but you need to fix the NPCs and fix the plex bugs CCP |

Well, biggest Amarr corp out there said they would kill all Caldari if we threathened their bros in Gallente militia. So to me personally at least it puts a dit of damp to my enthusiam to help Amarr. Yes, I know you guys in 7th are completely different from the rest and I owe you a favor but even so...

We would have loved to be able to ally closely with a competent Caldari entity, and that is the honest truth. Instead, we got bitched and moaned at, and we don't intend to apologise for supporting our current allies who have proved their support a number of times. |

So this quote from your CEO was not indicating you would shoot Caldari, merely try to scare them off by being a "boss"?
"On a sidenote though, should you manage to conquer all the gallente systems, and nisuwa will be the only place left to take, then you're damn right then i'll fight & kill for the defense of the home of SOTF with FATE and everybody else i can bring to the table."

Its called "friends" Damar, something you dont have much experience with.
There does seem to have been a few new corps / alliances join both sides of the Gal/Cadari front recently too which is probably a good thing as Eve time killer "summer" is fast approaching (well, time killer for us middle aged sods with kids/wife/work/dog etc) |

Thanks for confirming your paraphrasing. We indeed will not "kill all Caldari if we threathened their bros in Gallente militia." We will simply "fight & kill for the defense of the home of SOTF".
You still appear to be puzzled about why we chose to ally with SOTF, while justifying our decision every time you post.
This is how I imagine Damar sometimes. |

Amarr FW is lots of fun if you like to be the underdog in a war against an opponent swimming in LP and ISK. Just join and have fun welping. |

Well, I did phrase it wrong. This was before Fweddit joined Amarr FW.
Also, being in Caldari we have been underdogs for ages now.

The Amarr deserve zero help from Caldari. They constantly shoot Caldari in their space and deserve to be pushed out of lowsec entirely. I will personally go pie on any Amarr I see in the Gal/Cal front as well just because of the slight chance they have SOTF in tow. Amarr are not to be trusted. |

I'm not suprised this thread has turned into a high school reuinion; filled with married or lonely and single middle aged men. One of my biggest issues with faction warfare in the past. Was some pilots never leave it EVER and after interacting with the same players for so long. Inevitably, start to hate each other for whatever petty reason. Alot of it's silly.
Well. I'm leaning towards the Amarr milltia. Mainly, because their losing apparently. The downside is I'll be a little ways from the north (0.0), which is full of targets.
Might be worth basing in the west out of Akora and engaging the Russians (0.0) and patrolling metropolis.
I'm also interested in plexing. I hope there are people willing to teach pilots new to faction warfare; How to PLEX after inferno. |

Amarr is a good choice if you want things to shoot at. A bad choice if you want iskies from FW.
As for teaching faction warfare, if you see me online through the week give me a shout. I can tell you how it works or show you if someone else doesn't do it beforehand. |

Wow. Did I write this? I didn't, but I may as well have done so. I am in the exact same position, and will shortly be doing the same. Except I plan on fighting on the other side. Possibly. May join as a FW *merc* corp, switching sides occasionally as any true merc would. |

Serious answer: Many do leave FW - they always come back after a few months because null sec is boring.
I know what you mean about those 'married or lonely and single' people. The threads also full of tall, short and medium height people as well as the skinny and fat ones posting here.
