Hey
I've been a paying customer for more then 3 years now, i had up to 7 active acounts at one point.. i think i've payed more then enough money to have access to a decent customer support service.. not the case.
Two days ago, sometime after the Thursday downtime, one of my accounts got banned, initialy i thought i was hacked as i tryied to log on forums and the password didn't work, after trying to log ingame i got the following message:
"User xxxxxxx is banned pending investigation Last login: 2009.10.23 07:59 Number of visits: 689 Reason: EULA violation. Ban mail sent to registered email address."
I haven't received any mail about it, on my registered email address, ofcourse.. i made the first petition regarding this, requesting info about the ban and reasons behind it about 3-4 hours after the Thursday donwtime, witch would be 3-4 hurs after the ban occured, at most. More petitions have been sent as time passed, still no reply, needless to say it's extremly frustrating.. it's simply imposible to contact a CCP official regarding something witch i think is a serious issue, a banned account.. it's not like i'm requesting reibursement for a lost Caracal, a 2-3 days delay related to such a petitions might be acceptable.. a 3 days delay reagrding a banned account is not. Taking agressive action towards one of your customers without giving any reson as to why, and completly ignoring that customer afterwards speaks volumes about your customer care policy, the quality of your services and eployees.
Witch makes the following question a little ironic i guess.. Why is CCP raping and ignoring it's customers?

Maybe they'll give you more information when the investigation is done?
Also, pretty sure your statement at the end is in no way ironic.

The more petitions you send in the less likely they are to even think about looking at them.
Seriously, not even CCP likes someone that whines and cries like they are the only person in the universe.

I'd check your junk mail on your email account. If it's not there, I'd double check to make sure that your email information is indeed still correct.
Account banning is considered fairly serious business, and the investigation will take some time. Someone could very well have hacked your account and been caught right away, and the account was temp banned while they verify everything.
If you purchased that account, the old owner could have tried to get it back.
Any number of things could be happening. Just keep watching your petition for a reply. If you did nothing wrong you'll get your account back once they are satisfied all is in order again. If you did something ban worthy, the ban will stick.
Making an issue on the forums, and being rude about it as well, isn't going to help you in the slightest.

Yeah I know you, like me and many others, do not give a ****, but weekends, I am thinking that is the problem here...
But even then CCP had a good 24 hours to look into this and give some heads up at the very least. And maybe more support on duty in the weekends would well speed things up?... hmmm

Took me nearly 2 months to deal with the last ban petition i answered and reimbursement takes a lot longer than 3 days to deal with, if you haven't done anything wait it out, given that the petition system will be flooded with hacked account petitions due to the not so recent keyloggers you're going to have to be patient :)

I know the case and tbh its probably another missed witch hunt by CCP. Already had other friend banned for 3 months "pending investigation". 3 month investigation ban and end of which you get acc back is just a joke. Thats why in this case really isnt much OP can do... On the other hand with cases of account bans for "investigation" CCP could actually hurry the f up or at least responds to petitions regarding bans. They answer faster to "golem lost in lvl3 mission" which is of much less importance than account block.

…and you don't think that maybe that has something to do with how easy it is to investigate such a loss? ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I know mate, i understand that.. that's not what buggs me, the time it takes to investigate it, but the fact that i haven't received any info about it, as to why it happened and what i should expect time wise.. no mail received and no petition reply, i don't exect them to solv it overnight, but atleast they could motivate theyr actions.
Also, as far as i'm aware of, i have never engaged in any EULA violationg activities, all accounts i own, active or not were created by me, and used exclusively by myself, all character sales i've made were in acordance with CCPs ruls.. the only thing i can think of is the unusual high cashflow on this character/acount as it's a trading character, a pretty sucessfull one too.
Thanks for the reply!

Plus there is always the possibility that only certain GMs can work on the banned account investigations, but any GM can do a reimbursement.

Why would you think the OP has anything but clean Crash in his bag, it's not like this is the first time someone has posted on the forums about a ban an it has turned out they actually told the truth for once.

Hmmm...from a legal standpoint. Considering a corporation is treated like a seperate entity. This may actually be possible.
I mean the whole anatomy thing would be difficult. Maybe if we consider a tax form...well I don't think we need the graphic details. Although it could invent a whole new form of adult entertainment...
