No matter how much tank&speed u have you will still die horribly in a fire 95% of times if you're lucky and have insane skill. The most succesfull "solo" killer i know was Lord Chaos, but he was using 2 accounts; an arma and a falcon, so that's not really solo pvp since there are ppl that have 8 accounts and can "solo" you with 7 drakes and a hic. Real solo pvpers prefer to use heavy tanks and try to escape while underfire with deagressing tactix instead of using cloaked crap and roam till they find an opportunity (like a kinsy lagging behind a fleet in a guardian). The most insane solo campers i know are Norman Protector, Tauren, DHB Wildcat and Raven03 (no cloaked f4ggotry except SC ships that can tank and cloak provided u can afford to lose em). Disclaimer: probing mission runners is not considered solo pvp, but more like npcer farming "These people that we've wasted today are the finest human beings ever. We used to have a great ceptor pilot called KurMur (cant remember where he is now) that was one of only a very few pilots who used to regularly go out one v one and got a lot of great kills against supposed "leet" alliances. We also had unit003 a very good solo dictor pilot, but he did die a lot as well Farjung was very good but the game was very different then and a lot more unbalanced.

That died after the great nano nerf as it became very hard to pass a blob without dying. I knew all the tricks, but still couldn't burn back to the gate without having my MWD killed and webbed. In saying that, I have been tossing the idea around using T3 to solo. With the interdiction nullifier and covert cloak you'll get to dictate engagements with your gimped T3 ship. With prices coming down, this could be a viable option for those that still like to fly solo.

And as far as I'm concerned while eve favours blobs, solo pvp is far from dead, if some noob like myself can pick up solo pvp and run with it, and do reasonably well with it, it ain't dead.

That man was INCREDIBLE with his probing skills. Several years before probes even existed he was able to track down enemy safespots in mere minutes just using bookmarks and intelligence (someone needs to link the picture he took of a notepad he used to track down a safespot). I've never seen anything like it before or since. The norman protector comment was hilarious. Has he actually gotten good?
