Does anyone know of a good bittorrent client. I'm using Azureus now but it kind of is a resource hog and the computer keeps restarting, and it only happens when I'm running Azureus. __________ Capacitor research |

Looks like this isn't the clients problem. I was just using abc and my computer had a BSOD. I swear to god as soon as I get a real computer I'm gonna do something very ebil to this one like install BSD on it __________ Capacitor research |

I tried various clients and all of them seem to crash my computer. Full restart, no BSOD or anything. I just stick with the original client (google bit torrent and its the first link). I try not to run more then 2 torrents at a time for risk of crashing. I have a half way decent system too.

I'm amazed BitComet hasn't been brought up already. It kicks the ass of Bittorrent's regular, shad0w's/Bittornado, ABC and Azureus bigtime IMO. Switched from azureus a few days ago because of the friggin insane CPU usage (reached 50-60% with 7 torrents!). Now with BitComet I rarely see it above 2%.

Slowest client ever. Upload is ok, but switching back to Azureus gave more than double the download speeds, on the same torrents.

I'm using Azureus. It is a bit of a resource hog (especially memory-wise) but it runs really fast.

I use BitTornado. Coupled with port-forwarding I get excellent bandwidth-use, and it gives way better info than the normal BT client. |
