As an FC that has lead roams mostly with frigates, managing to do a motherships worth of damage with my alliances campaign, welp, this sucks.

I'm saddened by this and I think it underlines how urgent it is that CCP put critical alliance functions on a collective basis, ideally some kind of vote mechanic.
It's senseless that the history and continuity of EVE alliances can be harmed in a way that has nothing very much to do with EVE's dark background at all. It's simply bad implementation of the alliance mechanic.
I'm all for infiltration as a valid play in any conflict but we can do without this kind of wrecking in EVE. For me, it's not about the sov or whatever, it's about what this does to a sense of community, history and the stories we all forge in EVE.

This kind of game mechanic really really sucks. CCP need to do something about it. Hope we can get back to fighting CVA in space soon.

If this truely was foul play, then I hope CVA gets back on their feet swiftly.
However, after spending two years in this game serving the Amarrian empire, I can only see poetic justice in this. The majority of CVA pilots treated myself and other members of the Houlder alliances routinely as meer lackies rather than true allies.

For the record... never said that they sucked or that I was happy to see them gone or that I wanted them to be gone. Just that I was not their #1 fan.
Then why on earth did you join an alliance that still exists by the grace of CVA being behind them?
Don't give me any bs, because I actually was part of Sylph once and even then we sucked, but at least we sucked with 900 people and some decent leadership. Now you suck with half that and no leadership at all.
No comment... some buddies and myself are trying to initiate some reforms, havent been too successful so far, but we're making some progress... we can finally open up the alliance tab in evemail and not be bombarded with worthless private conversations anyway...

To all my friends in CVA I give you my sincerest condolences. To go out like this upsets the whole Eve community. Those that know me remember I have never been a fan of meta-gaming even though I understand its a part of the game. If it indeed was a hacked account, I hope law enforcement is able to track down the culprit(s) and they are made to pay for the crime.

Having lived in prov most of my life, i am sad to see the Alliance fall. I know someone will pick up the pieces, and i HOPE that the battles that go on over the next few days make a lot of people happy.
If i didn't have to take off out of town, i'd be down there watching all the random fleets flying around looking for the runners. |

Within the first hour we had some crackling good fleet fights. I'm off to date night w/ the fiance, but I managed 5 kills in the opening volleys (after I Lemming'd a Harby that AAA was too kind to relieve me of ) Paxfed has been holding ground with everything we've got, and cracked quiet a few reds open. Frankly, it's been the most fun we've had since joining Pax.
AAA, U'K guys, it's going to be a blast in the next few days. You guys are the classiest Red neighbors anyone could ask for.
Rollback or no, whether out of steadfast loyalty or just a desire to grind killmails, we'll be out there melting guns and popping ships.

Restored or not CCP needs to give Corp and Alliance leaders the tools that they need to effectively manage their organizations . Their need for more and more in game drama has made it far too easy for one person to wipe out the work of thousands others over the course of years . I mean honestly why would any one continue to put forth the effort to build something potentially incredible if it can be all wiped out by one person with one click ? With out more tools for permissions and security the projected goals for Dominion can not be met . Do you really think large null sec alliances will open their doors to newcomers if you don't fix this ?
CCP has clearly shown their support for grief and drama . If you are a Drama Queen then maybe your $15 per month seems well spent . If you are not maybe you are wondering if it is .

If true, I hope its cause they have proved that it was an account hack,
and not an infiltration cause, even if its a distasteful tactic/ingame mechanic, they'll be undoing the 'work' of a player that used a viable means to destroy his 'enemy' .... just saying... Until its changed in a patch, its legal.
