So i saw some concept art somewhere, of a newly designed Minmatar Stealth Bomber, and decided to start playing around modelling to see if i could bring it to life.
Please note none of the textures are done (except i started to texture the engine intakes) and it is very low poly at the moment.
It needs greebles, textures, more details, the inner bits of the sails etc, but thats the general shape and idea of the model.
In its current form its about 15% finished, just to give you an idea of the work left.
Opinions? Shall i continue to actually finish and texture this model? :)

It lacks the "Minmatar are so cheap that they strapped engines to an otherwise derelict antenna" aspect of the Hound. _________

Actually the new minmatar models dont follow the 'falling to pieces' idea of ship building. Ie, Mealstrom, Hurricane etc.

#1 and #116 is the Amarr Figghter bomber, and #117 is the Minmatar one. #115 is the Gallente one. You should log onto Sisi

They don't need modelers nearly as badly as they need competent texturers, unless the jobs are one and the same :S

Here's what I've managed to model up so far. Still don't have the sisi patch so I can't go check out what's going on at the back of the model, and am this just doing my own thing there.
I know scaling is off for various parts - once I've got all of the base geometry in I'll tweak scaling.

It would be nice to see a render with wireframes to make sure your poly flow is reasonable.
Also do you plan on making a high poly -> low poly model for normal map baking?

If you were referring to mine, right now, I'm still busy with elements based modeling/detailing. Once I'm satisfied with the components I'll unify them into more solid geometry.
As for normal mapping, yeah, I will, assuming I continue this model to completion (I have few/no models that have ever been 'completed') probably bake some normal maps so I can have a lower poly version.
I can't texture to save my life though, so I doubt I'll ever get any textures onto my model as opposed to what SpaceSavage might be able to do. ---
