Kudos for the fight.
I jumped for joy logging back in after a BSoD (gotta love windows) to see my ship still intact. Saw a mail appear and almost cried heh.
Good fight, again the rendering was issue here - didnt see a single friendly person during it, but apprently they were there.

I have had that happen and it REALLY is not fun. Usually though it happens when you jump into someone else not the other way around, so this is an odd case.
SA jumped into us from the backdoor

Ewwww what's with all the lovey dovey feelings, sicking lol. Your supposed to hate each other now get hating lol.
On a serious not, glad it was a good fight, from what you could see and that people did have a good time. My main concern is that shiva isn't gonna fix this lag which still ruins pvp for me and makes me just want to do other things. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
Again it sounded like a good fight.

If you guys want to reduce lag, it really doesn't help that you've got 100 drones deployed when all your battleships started out over 110 km from the gate

Yes, that might be true, but you can't really say "Don't use drones". That's like saying "Only use 80% of your turrets/missles slots"
....And they did need the drones out as our (SA) fleet jumped on top of them.
It was good fun though..even when I lost my inty during the mop-up operations. _________________________________________________

It was actually the uber-mobile-cloaking-device that we looted from a Jove ship. _________________________________________________

Im curious if you were outnumbered 88/120 what would you have done boby? Made it easy for them to warp in on top of you?
You wern't there so why do you insist on interjecting your biased opinion into this thread?

Well, I got a kill mail from a Vigil from my drones. A Vigil that didnt render on my screen. Hope that answers taht question as I saw some guy in local from ATUK (via Xanadu called Stizim) claiming it was exploiting to deploy our drones for defense. I expect Estios to cast a wicked spell on him for that one.

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 03/11/2004 05:15:00 I was there, on an alt. At 110k, they're just for lag at that range, and was just a suggestion. Back in the FA war was pretty neat that both sides agreed to stop using drones in the long range fleet battles, helped lag a lot. No one's complaining, just wondering if we could get the same here, at least til Shiva
If you would have held them in til the SA fleet warped to their cov ops frig it would have helped everyone out, not just us.

My drones killed the tackler who was trying to prevent me from warping to the fleet. IF I wouldnt have used the drones then I couldnt have killed the invisable tackler, thus I would have lost my ship to an invisable enemy. I think I'll keep my drones. Unless you can tell me how I could have killed a ship I couldnt see to save my ship...

If you weren't with the main fleet that was far from the gate, sure use em, just asking if it would be possible to keep them in as long as your ship is way out of scramble range.

Lag spoilt what could have been an epic, historic battle imho.
Never mind. There'll be more I am sure
I must say I was extremely surprised to find my ship still intact sitting at the gate this morning. Think I managed to lock onto one ship and didnt see anyone shoot at me.
